I think Chris Hermann is doing a good job of showing that he can catch, play the outfield, and get some hits. I know he's outperforming his minor league track record, but I like what I'm seeing.

...KC...not liking what I'm seeing. He's throwing too many of those balls that scream hey-hey-hit-me as they come in waist-high in the middle of the plate.

TK is speculating about a Royals hit and run. If I were managing the Royals I would play for the hit hit hit hit hit.

So instead, they sent the runner and Joe gunned him down. Nice managing!

I thought for sure Doumit would go at the deadline to make room for Hermann, but I suppose he can still move through waivers after a while. Excited to see Chris get more playing time.

Boy, Correia has really come back to earth after that decent April. They are hitting line drives all over the place. Take away Hermann's great throw and Mauer's great throw and the Twins are down a ton.

75 pitches in 5 innings. That is an average of 15 pitches per inning and Correia should pitch 7 innings. Its not his fault that the Twins aren't hitting.

True, but as I mentioned the Royals ran their way out of two of the first four innings. Florimon also made an above-average play. They deserve to have more than 2 runs.

He has gotten extremely lucky...let's not pretend he hasn't.

Yes Richard, it's an awful time to win a whole bunch of games in a row. It sure would suck to be the Royals right now.

Yeah, I laughed at that too. Very insightful, in a Richardian sort of way.

So the team HR title is still pretty up in the air. Nine players within three HR of the lead. Let's get Parmelee back up and see if we can end the season with a starting nine with an even 10.

Only pitched 93 pitches. Will Gardy bring him out for 1 more inning ?

What the heck, maybe his luck will continue tonight. Twins had bases loaded to start the inning and scored one run on a walk. Maybe things will even out, or at least the KC line drives will hit some gloves.

The Twins aren't hitting. That is not the same thing as "The Twins can't hit." Someone different is doing it every night.

Yeah, agreed. He was out of the inning if Florimon had made that fairly routine play. We should go back to the West Coast- we did ok out there. We're falling apart in Minneapolis.

Correia allowed 2 runs in 6.0 innings. Quality start.

Yup. Fantasy owners everywhere are trying to decide who to release so they can pick him up for their teams.

Quality starts lead to wins about 66 percent of the time. Although tonight does not look like one of those games.

doctors say the twins have a 66 percent chance of winning. though there's only a ten percent chance of that.

Where did you get that info from?

TK just made a dig on Coomer's post game instructional, saying he hoped they wouldn't play the carnival music, and you could hear Coomer trying to break into the feed with some loud rebuttal, and it went ignored. Funny.
