notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Yup, best reliver was on the mound at the time. At that point its "his" game. Ya win some ya lose some. This was a rough first half no doubt, but there have been some positives to take away: Plouffe, Mauer, Willingham, Doumit, Span, Revere have all been producing very well, Morneau is at least healthy and Dozier well, shows flashes here and there. The bullpen has been very good all season and the rotation, while a mess has produced some bright spots at points Diamond, Liriano, Walters are 3 guys if chosen to could be a decent set up to a 2013 rotation (3,4,5) still need a 1,2 but its getting better. Also since May 27th the Twins have had a 21-16 record, 17-12 since Jun 2nd so there is some hope they can finish with 75 or so wins, which is far from great but something to build on heading into 2013.Burton has been our best relief pitcher this season. Perkins WHIP is currently right where it was as a starter. It's above his career WHIP. He still can not be trusted.
