The cello is certainly a powerful, and in the hands of a master, quite unexpected instrument. But then all of them are, in the hands of a master.

Please note:  The Twins won both games where I did the thread intro.

I should retire now with an unblemished record.

Nope, keep it going!!@!!@ :jump:

Molitor's trivia note of the day: All 9 spots in the #MNTwins order both ended and led off an inning. "Circles don't lie," he said.

That wouldn't be possible in a nine inning game, would it?

Wow! This thread went high rent. Where's Brian? :)

  Nice job Twins and Wild.

Yes, talent can certainly pop up in very unexpected ways:

However, I will never be able to appreciate those boys as much as I appreciate this fellow:

And Ash, the only "Scotland the Brave" you'll catch me watching a second time is this version:

Some kindly moderator can fix these links for me. I can't seem to figure out how to make the videos to come up in my post. Oh, and feel free to take this out while you're at it so people will think I know how to do it on my own. Or, better yet, just tell me how to go about it myself.

ashburyjohn: If you precede a YouTube link with the word "media" inside square brackets and follow it with "/media" in square brackets then you'll get the effect you see here. I have to say it this long way because if I just put the [ ] brackets along with the word then the software tries to interpret it as a video and it doesn't show as text for you to read. I don't know how to do it for other sites, notably the videos found at mlb.com.

Your question intrigued me.  I think its possible as long as you don't have to have the same number of batters each inning.

For example (numbers are batting order position):

1 enter       4 exit
5 enter       7 exit
8 enter       1 exit
2 enter       6 exit
7 enter       2 exit
3 enter       5 exit
6 enter       8 exit
9 enter       3 exit
4 enter       9 exit

Watching the replay and due to lack of Circus Boy updates, not sure how it goes or ends....... :whacky028:

Aren't you lucky???

It should be possible... 9 people start innings, 9 people end innings, 9 innings, each with starter and an ender...

The trivial solution being 10 people bat every inning, and that's as hard as i'm gonna think for now.

Wait. No. Strand/score one every inning will do it more simply. 4 batters every inning should do the trick. (Feel free to verify, as i could be wrong)

It just seems unlikely, hence an intriguing anomaly.

It's like getting 10 strikes in bowling, no gutter balls, and not breaking 200.

Many likes. Thanks for that.

Back to the game....

Preserving suspense by failing to update. :)

Bagpipes don't have to breath though.

I just like knowing a new German word. Dudelsack, LOL. I let Google Translate confirm it just to be safe.

What's going on? Is your cable TV delayed? Or am I missing out on some epic inside joke?

I watched the replay on MLB.

Now i had to figure that one out too...

10 strikes, no gutter balls, leaving 2 frames of one pin per bowl, spaced to break up as many turkeys as possible (but you have to end on a turkey to get the other 2 strikes in)

Yeah, workin' that out, it's only 190.

But it's worth mentioning for the turkeys!

"For it's 1,2,3 strike - turkey down the old alley"

Meh, Doesn't have the same ring to it. Man parodying isn't as easy as it sounds...

Anyway, um... Bring on Detroit. Can't wait to hear what to think about tonight.
