Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Playing the Red Sox is like a cat and mouse game, we being the mouse. The give us some rope, reel us in, and then biter our heads off. So let the scrubs play tonight and not ruin anymore of what confidence we did have. And of course I'm thrilled to see Escobar at 3rd base.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Well the unwritten rule is that you are supposed to trot out at minimum, 3 opening day starters right? So this should put to bed any notion that Arcia will be optioned?
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Look at the Sox lineup for tonight.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Well Nolasco is going to need to step it up.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 Well Nolasco is going to need to step it up. I think Nolasco could pitch perfectly and it still wouldn't matter. I'm just in a bad mood. Which is why I didn't say anything when I posted the lineups. You know the proverb ... if you can't say anything nice ...

Not that this is far away road game, unless traffic is really that bad. What happens if the scrubs win? Anyway, in the immortal words of Fezzig, "i hope we win"

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 At first I thought you were talking about the Red Sox scrubby appearance -- makes me appreciate theYankees.Heh, I like Napoli's beard. But I still want to Delilah it before he can cause more damage.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 naught naught after 1 inning... (it's a useful thing, even if we retire the CBU title...)
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Sandoval leads off with right center double, and advances on a ground out to short. Can we strand a runner at 3rd?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 Not gonna be naught naught for long ...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 I kinda wanted Sandoval to run there ... might have been a fun play at home.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 ooou ... good play by Rodriguez ... way to keep Sandoval at 3rd.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Heh, I like Napoli's beard. But I still want to Delilah it before he can cause more damage. Napoli's beard looks like Tom Berenger's in a particular movie. Just one of them is/was fake: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eRWDnvQb8pk/Us06bg45hmI/AAAAAAAAMmk/cjn0u51h0LE/s1600/Tom+Berenger+as+general+James+Longstreet.gif

I'm speechless!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 Okay, Ricky ... settle down ... just get this one ...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 yup ... can I call it or what? heh
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Yeah, Herrmann pounced on it, but it well coulda bounced far enough for Sandoval to make it. He scores anyway, on a ball kicking off the heal of a diving Bernier's glove. Heard the grounder to first and looking Sandoval back, but had left the room, so can't comment. Anyway Boston up, 1-0 after 2 innings (er, and 2 outs. That's how slow i type)
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 Where is Gonzalez playing this year?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 Okay ... Bernier is on ... 2 outs
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 Esco up with runners on 1st and 2nd ... and it's off the wall!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 2-run double ... Twins on top now 2-1
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 End of three and the Twins hold their lead 2-1.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2015 Author Posted April 4, 2015 Pretty moon shot they are showing ... Top of the 4th ... Ramirez beats out an infield hit, aided by a bad throw by Sandoval
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2015 Author Posted April 4, 2015 And he steals 2nd ... let's see if Arcia can hit him home
