Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I thought Willingham lost it
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Yeah, they're fun to watch all right.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Their ads just annoy me. Badly directed, badly edited - makes the onscreen talent (who I've seen in other stuff) look bad. And parents who think the world revolves around their child. Riverbrian: welcome to AT&T Parents: Ssssh Riverbrian: Oh Sorry... You got a baby there. Wait a Sec... I will not Shush... I don't ask you to Shush because I'm taking a nap!!! This is a place of business... The Motel 6 is down the road for naps. Parents: He just fell asleep... Isn't he precious. Riverbrian: (Shouting into intercom) Attention all AT&T customers... There's a sleeping baby in here... All business must be done by sign language for the duration of this baby in the vicinity. Parents: Was that necessary? We just like him to stay asleep. Riverbrian: (Grabs Baby by the leg and dangles him upside down and swings him back and forth like a metronome while it remains asleep). Lookie here rookies... They sleep through everything.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 There used to be a Maid-Rite in St Cloud, MN years ago Well, according to the Maid Rite website they have shops in St. Cloud, Brainerd and Bimiji!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Actually I don't have Maid Rites around the corner. They are more of a central-eastern Iowa thing. "Taverns" in Sioux City are similar but in my rural area, taverns are what most people elsewhere call Sloppy Joes. in school we had things called loosemeats which were basically a Maid-Rite. Now THAT was more than you wanted to know!!! Nope... That's exactly what I wanted to know... It's the beauty of the game thread... We can learn something about anything.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 And parents who think the world revolves around their child. Attention K-Mart shoppers: we have a customer who brought a sleeping baby in here. Blue Light Special on aisle 4 for New Years noisemakers, toy drums, and sirens. Yes, the Fire Department shops here; go have fun.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Well, according to the Maid Rite website they have shops in St. Cloud, Brainerd and Bimiji! No kidding? next time I visit my folks I'll have to stop in.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Well, according to the Maid Rite website they have shops in St. Cloud, Brainerd and Bimiji! Really... Next time thru Bemidji... I'm stopping.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Willingham with a stand up triple
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 The sport is definitely on the grow. Networks are actually fighting over the right to broadcast English Prem action these days. I admit I got hooked a few years ago... I used to love getting up Saturday mornings and turning a game on. I adopted Portsmouth as my team... Actually became a little rabid about it. Then they are got into financial trouble and they got relegated down to league Two and now it's like cheering for the Ft. Myers Miracle from Liverpool. I can't find a new team that suits me and I'm having a hard time getting back into it. Been meaning to get into it more, but my problem is that it's not possible for me to just focus on the World Cup or just FIFA in general. No, it will have to be all or nothing for me, I'm afraid. Will either have to understand the dizzying array of leagues and levels that seemingly dwarf MiLB's relatively streamlined progression, or just forget it. Or maybe I'll just join an honorary chapter of the Green Street Hooligans.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Let's tie this thing up, big Ozzie!
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Did Ozzie lean in?
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Willingham beats the shift and gets a triple as his reward?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 He did! I would against a knuckleballer
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Is it time to move Mauer down the order?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 You would have thought the Stress level would have been higher in "Twins Territory" after the last 3 years.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I would against a knuckleballerYeah, especially with the elbow pad
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 You would have thought the Stress level would have been higher in "Twins Territory" after the last 3 years. Especially after you add the Vikings to the mix.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Willingham with a stand up triple My mental image of that was of him already rounding second as a 500 ft-high fly to center is dropped because all three outfielders converge and knock each other out.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Knocked some rust off the eyes, there.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I thought the exchange last half inning was entertaining.... dazzle: the blue jays don't swing inside out and try to hit everything over the fence.other guy: seems to be working then, next inning, Dazzle suggests Arcia should just try to put the ball in play.....
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Well Plouffe, you had better hit a homer, cuz this is the slowest group of base runners in baseball
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Is it time to move Mauer down the order? If he needs to be moved down then he needs to be on the DL because something's still wrong with his thinker.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 My mental image of that was of him already rounding second as a 500 ft-high fly to center is dropped because all three outfielders converge and knock each other out.It bounced over the head of the left fielder and rolled all the way into half way between the foul line and straight dead left, the centerfielder wasn't backing up, and ran over to try to recover, but it was too late
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Well Plouffe, you had better hit a homer, cuz this is the slowest group of base runners in baseballSee?
Trevor0333 Provisional Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 If he needs to be moved down then he needs to be on the DL because something's still wrong with his thinker. It's sad to see, he just seems like he is in slow motion. I would almost move him to lead off & see if it helps trigger something.
