  1. Other than the pen, the biggest difference is that none, and I mean NONE, of the Yankees ever take a poor at bat. They are all disciplined professional hitters. Even their young guys. They have been for like ever. The Twins are getting there, but maybe half the lineup is disciplined. That’s a problem, especially in the postseason.
  2. Not that you would pinch run down by 4, but it should be noted that the Twins could not have if they had wanted.
  3. Adrianza has to stay in the game. Just in case someone else gets hurt. He’s the back up for third, short and second.
  4. Realistically, Adrianza is the best pinch hitter the Twins have.
  5. I don’t remember ever seeing that in a tee ball game.
  6. Maybe because Hicks has like a .900 OPS vs LHP and Rogers has an .800 OPS vs RHB?
  7. The decision was fine IMO. The throw was terrible.
  8. idk, Rowson seems to have earned his keep with the in season improvement of Polanco, Rosario and Buxton.
  9. Actually, I think that is exactly the point. If he didn’t have a good one, the Twins had no chance.
  10. No idea why Castro is hitting here. Why carry 3 catchers if you aren’t going to pinch hit for them?
  11. So, now if the Yankees bring in Shreve, the Twins have no counter. You can’t hit for Granite because Adrianza is your only extra infielder. Probably hit for Castro, but, again your best option from the right side is Ehire, who you can’t use.
  12. 4th inning and already one of 5 bench players out.
  13. I didn’t like the sound when Buxton hit the wall. Sounded hard. It’s obviously padded, perhaps not enough?
  14. Watch Granite turn on one for his second MLB homer in the 9th.
