  1. yep, stretch out the starters, Maeda could have gone one more
  2. We all see it, we all see it HeHasBlueHair
  3. Thielbar’s like”coach, I m right here”
  4. I know you’re supposed to send him there but I wouldn’t mind seeing Cruz up with runners on second and third
  5. In the future it’s going to be tough putting starting pitchers in the HOF. I don’t think leading the league in quality starts will impress anyone
  6. Bert had 60 shutouts. Nobody will ever come close to that again
  7. I’d like to see sano deposit that bugs bunny curveball in left field bleachers
  8. If the Twins don’t start putting the bat on the ball it’s not gonna make much difference
  9. This is an excerpt from an article on analytics, the link is at the bottom: Let’s take Whit Merrifield the top base stealer for 2018, he had 45 stolen bases and was caught stealing 10 times. If we look at the added run expectancy for what he did it was worth 3.4 runs across the season to the Royals and even with the Royals anaemic total runs scored of 638 his base stealing was effectively increased it by 0.5%. https://batflipsandnerds.com/2018/11/03/analytics-and-its-effects-on-the-mlb-the-stolen-base/
  10. I would say Rickey made some of that happen by himself, but definitely not most
  11. Well I wouldn’t discount it, but I do think it’s effect is minimal. Anytime there’s a runner on base it is a distraction to the pitcher whether he runs or not. Even Joe Mauer would steal a base if he was ignored. Holding runners is part of the game, even slow runners need some attention. I would tend to discount ideas that fast runners disrupt a pitchers game to the extent that he can’t perform. Those cases are rare, not the norm.
