  1. I'm not sure where the idea that a player has received "too much coaching" comes from. At the end of the day, a player can either perform well at the higher levels or he can't. Delmon Young was one of those players who just wasn't able to "turn" the proverbial corner. I would love to see such a humble, hard working kid with a strong base of faith succeed. But at the end of the day, one can never receive "too much coaching", because it is up to the player to translate that into production, not the coach.
  2. I'd have to agree on Mejia. Only saw highlights of his start last year, and while it may not have been overwhelming stuff, he looked like he could be effective and possess the ability to keep his team in the game. Just like I tell my son when he pitches, you don't have to throw faster than the other kids... Just throw strikes, hit your spots and keep your team in the game.
  3. As an exiled Minnesota expat down in South Georgia, it really means a lot to be able to stay connected with everything Twins without that SEC RULES THE WORLD!! / Braves bias that is so prevalent down here. That combined with my obsessively irrational hatred of ESPN Insider, have made TD a haven for those of us consigned to the Hinterlands. Thanks for all you guys do, and here's looking forward to meeting at Spring Training some time in the near future and discussing all things Twins (good and bad) over a good beer.
