    Yeah, advanced statistical analysis came around at the wrong time for a guy who proudly and meticulously crafted and stayed with the exact same swing since he was a teenager. I'm no physicist, but I'd guess the more constantly repeated the causation is the more predictable the reaction is.

    I agree, many do, but not all. And the ones that proactively make changes because they foresee a problem often irritate their employees who don't like change. At the same time, I'll bet those proactive companies perform better than the companies that drag their feet. In fact I'd bet feet dragging on modernization is a reason many companies go belly up in the first place.

    But if the hypothesis of this article is that his peripherals show this will not continue, wouldn't the fair thing for everyone (except Kintzler) be to not let the inevitable happen in the first place?

    Saves, goose eggs, Nobel Prizes; I think the other 29 teams will all decline to pick up the phone simply because of the 12% K rate.

    It would be nice if our team would see the writing on the wall and act prior to, not after it's too late. I would guess if asked Molitor would justify keeping him in there by talking about loyalty and doing what's fair to Brandon. Well there's 24 other players on the team who it isn't fair to if you lose games because you were being fair to a single guy.

    I always found the lightrail cheap. Mostly because I prefer to ride it without purchasing a ticket.

    I haven't been able to watch much baseball recently. Guess my minimal free time scheduled me a fun one tonight!

    I'm open to the idea of getting a discount at number 1 if it meant getting a top 10-15 guy with the next comp pick, but saving money to get a 3rd round talent in round 10 would give me no pause about taking the best player in the draft regardless of money. And I don't think the economics work anymore for getting a top 10-15 guy at #35, and I'd want it lined up and fairly concrete prior to going into the draft.

    Yeah, looks like he's going for the Ricky Vaughn look. Sounds like he's nailing the "Wild Thing" part down.

    I agree. At the same time I acknowledge that it's possible I could miss something decent. He should be at the point in his career where he could have a JohnTravolta (Pulp Fiction) or Bill Murray (Lost in Translation) revival. Probably won't happen though, I'm still waiting for Eddie Murphy to make a legit comeback. He's done some more dramatic stuff where the movies weren't very good but he actually was. If a good director gets him in another roll like that I'll give it a shot.

    I feel his frustration but Bert needs to know better, game threads are light hearted and full of frivolity.

    Ho-ly crap. Bert was pretty scathing calling Mauer out for not adjusting his approach at the plate. "Dick he has to make an adjustment and he will not do it." "Joe will not attempt to pull the ball." "You can say that Joe is getting cheated but Joe is not making an adjustment like a pitcher makes an adjustment."

    Or any time on a ball field this year. He's yet to make his 2017 debut.

    Alas, all three young OF are tearing the cover off the ball. They have a 1.081 OPS, that's Sano territory! Oh, check that. That OPS is if you add all three together.

    Sorry, also one more request for an update. Luis Arraez has only played in half of the Miracle's games this year. Is he also injured? I hope he's not platooning, he is by far the offensive player I am most interested in on that squad.

    The Twins could really use another bat to emerge, fingers crossed Blankenhorn is becoming what we hoped he could when he was drafted. Also, I must have missed a report but is Chargois injured? I don't know why else he hasn't pitched yet this year.

    It's always been that way though, that's not a modern thing. Roster construction also involves figuring out who has option years left and who can clear waivers, who still needs work and where the depth will be. These aren't things that the field manager dictates, nor should he. The manager controls in-game action, the GM controls most everything else.
