  1. It took years to build the Yankees bullpen into what it is today Betances: drafted by NYY 2006 Robertson: drafted by NYY 2006, signed as a FA by the white sox after 2014 and then traded back to NY 2017 Chad green: acquired from Detroit in a trade after the 2015 season Kahnle: drafted by NYY in 2010, lost to the Rockies in the 2013 rule 5 draft, traded to CWS in 2015 and traded back to NY this year Chapman: signed after 2015 season So, through shrewd drafting and trades, this BP was 10 years in the making. Can the twins do this?
  2. I understand the optimism about our future and hopes that we will return to the postseason. But one needs to look no further than the Vikings and see how fleeting "the window" really is. I think Vikings fans such as myself looked at their 2015 season much like twins fans are looking at this one. "We're set for a good run" I thought. Fast forward two years and it would appear to me that the Vikings, through costly costly injuries, may miss out on the playoffs for a second straight season. Nothing is sports is guaranteed. Injuries, year long slumps, rough schedules, etc. Regardless of how many we lost last season, I have a hard time brushing off last night's loss. It was a winnable game and a few of the guys folded, again.
  3. Duds of the game: Erv Jose Joe Castro Grossman
  4. Amazed at how fast you folks turn on the positive vibes. Maybe I'm just a salty east coaster.
  5. Yep, and a few missed opportunities with RISP and two outs. Can't miss those chances in the playoffs. Just can't.
  6. I don't think the talent gap (aside from the BP) is all that far off. But throw in the mental part and maybe now I see why the vegas line was what it was
  7. Possibly the worst swing I've ever seen from dozier. Twins should decline their postseason berth next year if they match up with NY. For all of us. I notice the rah rah fans have long since signed off
  8. 0-4 with 3 Ks. Not sure sano would have helped, but he couldn't have done much worse.
  9. Uhh even if erv got that strike 3 call, it would only have been out #2. Castro nearly fell over trying to catch it. He was not going to get the call. Alfonso Marquez was the least of the reasons the twins lost tonight
  10. Something about Lucy and a football comes to mind
  11. I have a feeling paul is going to be back. Has a manager ever won mgr of the year and been fired?
  12. Probably a good decision since he actually had a chance to cut down the lead runner and Sanchez would not have reached second had Rosario not air mailed it
  13. I wonder how the game would have been different had erv had a scoreless first? Not trying to pile on him, just an honest question
  14. Disagree, twins were in most of those games until very late. Led in most of them too
  15. In fairness, it's hard to be "out of" a baseball game in the 6th inning
  16. October 5, 2004 was the last time the twins won a playoff game, a span of 12 games. 3 more innings to to end the streak
