  1. JJ officially out. It’s Bro(smer) time.
  2. 4 TD passes for Love. 2 less than JJ has in 6 games
  3. Rams
  4. True.
  5. Love bomb
  6. What’s happened to the Detroit offense? Also Dan Campbell doing his usual dumb stuff.
  7. As long as he isn’t a panicky Pete back there, he would be an upgrade. I’m sure there will be turnovers, but it’s not like we aren’t already having them every game.
  8. If we’re bringing in an outside QB, and we almost certainly are at this point…I don’t want Kirk, I don’t want Rodgers, I don’t want Jameis, I don’t want any of these old, nearly/should be retired guys. Rodgers will be 42 in December. You have to get someone that will make you somewhat competitive, while figuring out a way to keep the roster competitive at the same time. It can be done.
  9. Talk about a quote that will come back to bite him: teams fail young quarterbacks more than young quarterbacks fail teams
  10. Ugh let’s hope not. Kirk was good for us and at times got undue super harsh criticism, but seems to be nearly washed now.
  11. Addison for Jones straight up 😉
  12. Carolina’s offense is booty. And not John David
  13. Third pick for Purdy. Wonder how willing they’ll be to lose jones with another year under contract
  14. Carolina looks like a team not used to playing in big games. Which they are
  15. Purdy two picks already. Wonder what the price will be for jones
  16. Apparently, talent evaluation of non-veterans is poor. I don’t judge them for drafting the guy, you generally have to take a QB when it’s available. I only passively follow the draft/college players and even I had several people texting me saying “good luck” when they selected him. So you take a guy with questionable talent, lose him all season to an injury/surgical procedure, and say yeah we’re all in on him because he had some good practices? It was the blackjack equivalent of not hitting on 5.
  17. Unrelated but related, sanders is starting this week for the browns, even though Gabriel has been cleared to play
  18. It‘s not even really tin foil. When he hurt his ankle in the Atlanta game, he was shown on the sidelines getting it taped during the game. If he was ever examined for a concussion yesterday, I didn’t see it. Not saying it didn’t happen but I didn’t see it. Then he gets symptoms, hours later on the plane? I guess it would be more believable if the league didn’t have people watching for head injuries during the games
  19. I am someone who was so shaken by how poorly Darnold finished last season, that I supported moving on from him because of how overwhelmed he looked in those games. I guess my caveat should have been, I support moving on IF the people evaluating his talent feel like he wouldn’t be as equally overwhelmed but with far less talent than SD. I’m getting big “what did you know and when did you know it?” vibes here. I really hope they didn’t see this train wreck coming and decided to go forward anyway. It’s hard for me to believe that a coach and GM would sign their own death certificates like that
  20. Felt the symptoms on the plane? wtf? Was he ever examined during the game? My goodness what a cluster****
  21. Every game it becomes more certain they will bring someone in. There is a basic minimum standard that needs to be met with the quarterback. Otherwise it’s not fair to the players and staff. It sounds great in theory to be ultra sucky for a whole year, but games still need to be played and you can’t do that with a guy putting up a high school stat line. If this continues on at its current pace, you may indeed see Brosmer. Not that that’s probably a solution either.
  22. This is as good a year to do it if anything is. I believe we have ten picks? This is one year I wouldn’t mind if they lost out. But someone else needs to be making the picks.
  23. This is actually the preferable outcome. With ponder, he was bad but not totally lost so he got multiple years. If McCarthy is not it, it will be much better to know right away. Quarterback purgatory is hell
  24. Heck, Teddy was still throwing passes yesterday. Who knows what would’ve happened if he didn’t destroy his knee..
  25. Now? Because he let a 14 game winner walk for McCarthy. It’s the NFL and the QB position makes or breaks teams. I can’t think of a baseball comparison where one guy would have a comparable impact to a quarterback. It’s pretty much that simple.
