Gophers moving down the field with ease and they call for a trick play that gets blown up and ruins the drive. I don’t get to watch a ton of the gophers but I feel like odd play calling happens a lot when I do tune in

Probably Jose Fernandez, but only because of the accident. I bet most casual fans of baseball couldn’t name two current marlins. The marlins just exist, that’s about all that can be said. Although they did get a recent bump in relevance with the crazy home run ball lady -
I’ve never met a marlins fan in my life. They’ve finished last in attendance in the NL all but two years (one during Covid) since 2006. Two non losing seasons since 2010 (one again during Covid). Even when they won the WS, they followed with sell offs. If their own fans don’t care, how could they be relevant to the league as a whole?

I don’t count last year because he never even suited up like a red shirt, but it would be interesting to see how many QBs started their first ever game and how they did. And how their careers went. I bet there aren’t more than 30 guys in the modern era who have done that. Not even tarkenton, apparently

Probably going to be some more rough games for JJ as expected of a rookie. But at least he didn’t fully go in to the tank. Keep the pick 6s to a minimum is all you can really ask of a true rookie

The bears totally bears’d this game. I mean how many mistakes did they have. Could have blown our doors off. They were heading for a TD with the defense gassed to end the third and they penalized themselves out of a shot then missed the FG
