  1. Does anyone know why Evan Longoria has decided to play his career out in Tampa F'ing Bay?
  2. I don't know why this image ... because baseball?
  3. Mauer has more hits in "a 4 game series against the Indians" than anyone since the 1930s (if I heard correctly). That's something he done good. Even hit a home run.
  4. but there's no speed limit on the Autobahn.
  5. Kind of like driving down the road at 65 and there's a car in front of you going 40. You get pissed, then when you pass you see he's a "clueless old man" and you feel bad. I'm sure Kepler apologized to Mauer in the dugout for being young, fast, and aggressive.
  6. The Twins are toying with the Indians, that's all.
  7. I did the math. They are actually on pace after tonight's win to go 64-98. Crept under 100 losses.
  8. 17-10 in our last 27. .630 winning percentage. The year that ... next year?
  9. Suzuki has been one of our hottest hitters. I think Molitor was smart to bat him higher in the order. Why is everything always Molitor's fault?
  10. Arcia would have ... made us nervous ... had that?
  11. Cleveland announcers not impressed with Dozier's nifty flip. I guess they have other things on their mind.
  12. Kepler's red hot. What adjustments will the pitchers make to cool him off? Nothing straight. Nothing down and in. Nothing across the plate. Junk? We'll see. This dream can't last, can it?
  13. Because baseball. (My new favorite phrase.)
  14. I agree with the opinion that Polanco had been jacked around for the last few years, but he's only 23 and watch him go.
  15. Of course there is the risk of carpal tunnel.
  16. To make parity the rule MLB should have a new season every month, therefore everybody could make the playoffs.
  17. RE: THE PHENOM I posted this today on the back end of the Max Kepler thread, thought I'd repost it here where someone will actually read it. Perhaps many of you know this already, but I didn't. We can thank Andy Johnson, the Twins Norway-based scout, for first noticing Kepler. Good article from 2009 which I don't remember reading. 14-15 other teams flew over to Germany to see him. Seems the Twins development plan shone above the others. http://m.mlb.com/new...ticle/7117716// And this from Mr-Baseball.com: "Andy Johnson: Played Baseball internationally in Europe and Australia. Served as head coach for the German League Cologne Cardinals and Norway’s Senior National Team. Covers European Baseball as a professional scout for the Minnesota Twins and is a development consultant with the Norwegian federation NSBF." Andy must be very proud. And we're proud of him.

  19. Murphy is only 25 years and 2 months old ... who is to say that he isn't having a down year and will bounce back? Too early, in my opinion, to give up on him. That said, we can't rely on him, given what he's shown with the Twins and at AAA.
