  1. Are you going dressed as a Twins player? Or are you going incognito? Personally, I never wear any sports gear. I'm there to watch, not cheer or be SEEN.
  2. I live in Arizona. Love the start time tonight.
  3. In order for Mauer to hit .300 this year - given that he has played in all but one game, and presuming he will play in all but one game the remainder of the way - he will have to hit .336 the rest of the way. That would be some accomplishment. I say "Go Joe!" because that kind of hitting in the middle of the the order would put the Twins over the top. But can he do it? Given all the defensive shifting and his increased propensity to strike out? I doubt it very very very very much.
  4. Great article. You mention that "Dozier continues to flash the leather routinely in the field." Yes, he has perfected the the fall-to-the-ground-on-one-knee and-throw-simultaneously method, and he seems to turn the double play as well as anybody, and he has only made 3 errors thus far. So I thought I would look up the DWAR of the second basemen in the American League. I found that Dozier is tied for 5th best defensive second basement in the AL. (I do not pretend to understand DWAR, thus I won't defend it). But someone else, looking at these stats, might have a better idea about what is actually going when rating second basemen). 1. Kinsler 1.3 2. Infante .9 3. Sogard .7 4. Kipnis .6 5. Altuve .4 6. Dozier .4 7. Forsyth .4 8. Cano -.1 9. Pedroia -.2 10.Giavotella -.7
  5. I looked up Lambic Pajamas and this is what I got.
  6. Lambic is apparently a Belgium beer, so now you're getting somewhere.
  7. It sounds true. Thanks. Never noticed that before! (
  8. This is going nowhere. When it goes there it will be there Just wait Wait another second Robinson .... Robinson ... And whatever they do don't ever, ever pinch run for Sano again. I'm done.
  9. Anybody remember the last time the MN Twins performed a suicide squeeze, failed or successful?
  10. Check out this picture of "Brian Dozier" in today's New York Times. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/09/sports/baseball/nine-strikeouts-help-indians-to-a-victory-and-a-record.html?&moduleDetail=section-news-2&action=click&contentCollection=Baseball&region=Footer&module=MoreInSection&version=WhatsNext&contentID=WhatsNext&configSection=article&isLoggedIn=true&pgtype=article I guess, outside of NYC, Brian Dozier looks like just the next guy.
  11. Chapman is probably the best reliever in baseball. I'd say we could find some way to use him!
  12. Brad Ausmus bugs me. Is it because he has a face that perpetually looks like it has no idea what the hell is going on?
  13. I must say Brian, that you were born at the top of the food chain. You didn't do any climbing. Be kind to salads. Like Sano, you must take what the pitcher gives you. Also like that Michiganers bring spiders into the house - where they belong!
