Yes, it looks like Dozier will achieve the indistinction of setting the Twins all-time strike out record in one season. He has 132 now. Darwin had 145 in 1972. Of course his disachievement will probably only stand until next year ...

Speaking of White Sox (and Red Sox) ... why (I wonder) did none of the expansion teams - all hellbent for nostalgic ballparks, etc. - choose to name themselves the Green Sox (for example)? I have stayed up many a night worrying about this.
