  1. For all the hatred focused on the Twins by certain fans (thank Danny, not here at TD), I think this is the most exciting, potential-filled (and aggravating) 90+ loss team I've seen. Maybe that isn't saying much, I'm not sure.
  2. I wish I could like twice.
  3. I saw a minor league game in Chatanooga in 1978 when the stadium was quaint. Now so many stadiums aren't quaint, not that I've been to many.
  4. Good one. I'm actually living in Tucson, so I think I'll go up to Phoenix for an AFL game.
  5. Have you gone to any AFL games? If so, which stadium experience would you recommend?
  6. The Twins rank second to last in shut down innings this year after the Orofino Maniacs.
  7. I just love to see Ausmus fail, I don't know why.
  8. That dive reminded me of Hunters fiasco dive in the playoffs some years back.
  9. Maybe Perkins will grab his crotch in reaction to all the boos and get suspended for 7 games so we can all not see him pitch for awhile.
  10. That's awfully reactionary of you. No, wait a minute.
  11. Major League managers are addicted to relief pitching and they should all go to Winter Camp to talk about it to a group of therapists who don't believe in pitch counts.
  12. I hate the cycle. Just the dumbest stat, or idea of a stat.
  13. Just before Escobar got injured I was going to write about my concern for his batting average, and how I looked back to see how bad he had slid, and I found that he actually has leveled off quite nicely. In April and May he hit .335 and that got us excited, then in June he his .208, which got us depressed, but since then, over the last 2 1/2 months, he has hit .272, which is virtually what he is hitting for the season, so that isn't so bad. Also, I joked last night that we know Vargas can trot (home runs) but he hasn't shown that he can walk (only 4 this year), and tonight he gets an infield hit and a triple. The great, strange game of baseball.
  14. Even Nostradamus folded once in awhile. I fold.
  15. That doesn't begin to say it.
  16. "You can come back But you can't come back all the way."
  17. We know Vargas can trot, but can he walk?
  18. Who in God's name predicted a comeback?
