  1. So... The day after. Does it still feel as good to have swept the Red Sox? Was moving into a tie for first at this point the right thing to do? No regrets? I kinda miss the moral superiority of rooting for an under dog... But not that much. Band wagons are fun too.
  2. The mentor gets his chance, what with all the mentored action today. Er, i mean, Torii had it all the way.
  3. Alas, no speaking was needed. But the scene gets explained in a sequel, if i recall. It's kind of like a cliff hanger, but without the cliff.
  4. As the petunias thought next to the whale, "not again."
  5. The jog of the mentored. 5-2 after 4 for a CBU.
  6. Yeah, sacrifice flies aren't for the fans to catch.
  7. A wheels double in front of Hunter. Pretty sharp call there so far.
  8. In Xander's glove did Bogaerts a speedy spheroid smother there... Evidently Coleridge i am not. Anyway, Naught Naught through 1 and a half (is that 1.5 or 1.3?) in lieu of a CBU.
  9. 4 up, 3 down, the other marooned at second. A half inning Circus Boy Update (half applies to inning, not Circus Boy)
  10. A sibling is a fan of the following: A buddhist goes up to a hotdog stand and says "make me one with everything."
  11. Hurrah! Another Twins game to watch. Life is good, even if i can't make it to the ball park or gorge myself on 6 or 7 hot dogs. Well, if they're spaced out, that's nothing. That's one every inning and a half.
  12. Thanks all! I think the Red Sox are still uncomfortable with that 1 run lead, but i guess it is in the books, so live with it they must.
  13. Awww... I wanted to stand up before the ride came to a complete stop.
  14. I presume the Red Sox aren't comfortable with it either.
  15. I may be misremembering, but wasn't there actually some game thread where to find the significance of a particular uncommon phrase, one googled it, only to find the game thread was its only occurrence? Perhaps i'm imagining things... Anyway, i submit as a definition of schtish, something entertaining but with sufficient repetition causes one's yearnings for creativity to respond "ish", i think. Specifically worded to work for schtick too. Did i do good?
  16. Double plays are rather frequent tonight, aren't they?
  17. Sorry. I didn't mean to. Did you find anything interesting?
  18. I can't tell. Is it a schtick? or a schtish?
  19. Thanks! Yup, that was me. There are, though quite a bit has changed. Kenmore Square has gentrified somewhat, so there's no more DeliHaus for example.
  20. Dip the razor in cold water, 'cause metal does what? It contracts. Makes for a cleaner shave. (Sorry i'm not sure enough to stick it in quotes, as it is a movie reference, but only approximate.)
  21. Mee too. I liked the loose Royal image... The result of that train of thought ended up in making cheap short sleeve shirts celebrating the Royals' charge to the post season. And calling them "charging royal" Ts.
  22. Does that mean i can stop thinking? Just in time too, there seems to be baseball.
