  1. Er, if no one else wants to update CB, tie ball game at 4-4 starting the 7th. Sounds like friday is on the other foot now...
  2. Sounds like sports medicine from the island of dr. moreau. (How hard was it to keep an n out of the name?)
  3. Done and done. This puppy now has teeth...
  4. Stauffer gets an assist on a single up the middle, deflecting it into left field, and follows that with a double play ball, and a nice stop by Mauer for a text book 2-2-3 inning. Still 4-1 going into the bottom of the 6th. (CB, do i have to keep saying 4-1?)
  5. We're lulling them into a false sense of security...
  6. Yup, ball bounced off Stauffer, and Dozier was still able to field it, and get the out at first. (Bautista had walked, reasonably being pitched around after a loud foul) Alas, Baustista comes into score on a single up the middle to follow. Assuming Colabello doesn't do anything, that's a Toronto up 4-1 CBU.
  7. Now, how do we score us some runs of our own?
  8. I expect that's true, and not even close... I am not without some experience playing stupidly through injuries myself. Anyway, Toronto plays the small ball, advancing to second on Hunter bobble, being bunted to third, and coming in on a sac fly. 3-1 CBU, eh?
  9. Even plausible that he can throw just as good, but the injury created something which tipped his pitches... Line between success and failure for a pitcher can be awful thin. (Not that i saw anything, it just could be...) That said, if we knew that's what would happen, we can still wish it hadn't.
  10. I would also say that you may not know how something is going to effect you until you actually do something.
  11. CBU remains steady at 2-1 Toronto after a second inning. Or is that at the start of the third?
  12. Done and done. But a bases loaded 2 out looper scores 2 to give the Blue Jays a 2-1 CBU through half of 2 innings.
  13. Oh, sorry... Ricky Nolasco had a twinge after a pitch, Molitor came out to see what's up. He threw a few trial pitches, then the game continued with two solid hits by the Blue Jays (including a Colabello hit that extends his streak to 11 games) and leaving runners at the corners in an outless inning. Now Graham, our rule 5 draftee from Atlanta, is taking the mound for the damage control. Satisfactory CBU?
  14. Or at least the Rochester coaching staff, and he will feature prominently in the ensuing discussion...
  15. I too am speculating who comes in... I was kinda hoping it would be Graham, and Gameday confirmed it for me.
  16. Thanks! (I'm going to remember to look both ways before updating the circus boy...)
  17. Well played, sir! I'm doubly glad when they get stranded there. Especially when we don't do it.
  18. Another Blue Jay left in scoring position. Strandard operating procedure, even if it doesn't constitute a CBU.
  19. Indeed, i could use a whetstone... I'm sure it'll be less of an issue once i've baseball to occupy myself with.
  20. That indeed satisfies the pertinence and the Holmes quote... The one i'm too lazy to remember is something about eliminating all other possibilities, and then else about no matter how improbable. But i'm too lazy to go further, i think. Because i have a new one: The game is afoot!
