  1. Down 2-1 in the series, a win would earn us a split. And a theme that should be obvious for every get away game i could introduce: what can we get away with? And today i feel like trackin' down youtube references of musical nature to favorite, but lesser known movies: Six String Samurai: (and the band responsible for its soundtrack, the Red Elvises) El Mariachi: The Man in the White Suit: (you may doubt its musicality, but you'd be surprised how often you hear it sampled in other movies... most notably Bunsen and Honeydew's appearance in the Muppet Movie) and you can go watch any of 'em if your stomach isn't equal to the sight of Nick Gordan's major league debut!!! Or Michael Pineda's purpetual stretching and pacing on the mound. Or Astudillo's hat catching as he fields them pop ups. So the fact you're here now, means you are truly dedicated as a fan! And i'm proud to share a game thread with you! (well, assuming i don't duck out to mow the lawn at some point.) Rangers: 0. Jordan Lyles (R ) P 1. Willie Calhoun ( L) DH 2. Nick Solak (R ) 2B 3. 2. Anyhow, thanks for the company! Hopefully we can eke out a series split tomorrow.
  3. It goes on and on and on and on...* So are the Twins... I just wish they'd gotten a few more runners home this game. *-i may not always know what song i'm referring to... I got them in my ear from living thousands of days, but i never bothered looking up who was singing 'em.
  4. I am waiting patiently to see him penciled in a line up.
  5. I must say i like the contrast between Sano and Simmons in the batter's box.
  6. I don't think so. They just play bad on tv.
  7. Alas, K sounds like the operative letter so far...
  8. (Someday, maybe it'll work. Don't. Stop. Believing.)
  9. I think we have established it works better if you complain in advance... So how will the next batter do?
  10. Fair enough. I will after the suspense of this game's outcome is resolved.
  11. Any other cool Twins affiliate tales? Or should i just read Twins Daily's Minor league reports?
  12. If only we'd some of that when we had the bases full! That looks tasty!
  13. We'll see. Well, probably not the official stat, but there's more to baseball than stats...
  14. Didn't he used to be our closer? He can hold this -2 run lead, i'm sure of it!
  15. Maybe we thought that is exactly what they'd expect us to do... Which is why they were shifting us to pull, to encourage us not to. But we out smarted them, didn't we! Er, that is not advancing the runner, nor scoring... Maybe not.
  16. And that was no ordinary bounce. That was special. Like those old Bird 'n' Magic Johnson commercials, off the dirt, off Garver's mask, into the camera well, nothing but net.
  17. We wouldn't want anyone to feel left out...
