  1. I agree with gunnarthor about the development of our young studs, but will go one step further. We need to see these at least half of these guys at the major league level at some point this year. If we reduce our losses to 87 this year without seeing these guys up with the Twins, that is not something to be happy about. Odds are they will struggle right away, so if we don't see them until 2015 we would more than likely dip back into the 90+ losses season. Let's get back to Twins baseball, playing the game the right way. Hit the cutoff, steal some bases when we need runs, put the ball in play with runners in scoring position, play good defense, etc. I'm hoping that adding Molitor to the staff will once again make the games fun to watch as he instills his attitude to the team. Put the Nishioka years of not knowing the game behind us once and for all.
  2. I saw Rosario in spring training last year and loved his bat speed. He is very athletic so I agree we can't give up on his defense at 2B as he will only get better. Once Dozier is fully acclimated to the majors and proves his bat warrants he stays in the lineup, is it possible the Twins move him back to short since we are now without young shortstops in the minors? His confidence at the plate should carry out to the field so he should be a much better SS than in his first stint. I fully agree that if Rosario is traded, it is only for a can't-miss prospect or a proven player; however, I expect to see this exciting young player as one of our major cogs for the future.
  3. Twins can't give up on prospects like May as starters and too quickly turn them into relievers. He was always in the same sentence as Meyer last year and we need both to become quality starters. TR can always find relievers. As Twins fans know all too well, we won't get over the 90-loss hump until we get some quality starts which May can deliver.
  4. I have been reading TD for about a year now. I love the site, as I love baseball and my Twins. Am hoping the three-year ineptitude is at its end and the future starts this year with Sano, Meyer and Buxton making appearances with the big boys sometime this year. Actually would not be too disappointed if it comes later as we may be going to New Britain in June.
