While I respect your right to an opinion, I highly disagree with your statement that it fetishized war, I also have to add that NUMEROUS past baseball players were Veterans. Jackie Robinson, Ted Williams, Stan the Man, on and on and on... try doing a google search. Maybe more baseball players should join the reserves like Hall of Famers like Clemente and Carew did. Do the America themed Baseball caps make it even worse then during the 4th of july? Baseball supporting the Military goes back far. Now a days, around ONE percent of the country are in the military and those people gave time (theirs and their family's) to protect their nation in the capacity they are given. I automatically respect a Veteran that has served their country, they would be a good samaritan in my opinion anyways.

Was this written in Washington state or in Colorado? TOKE TOKE TOKE

Hopefully the Twins instead swoop a 55 mill offer on Garza instead of wasting any type of money on Arroyo. I have no prob though if they go for drew or young tho.

Gotta love stepping backwards. No idea why we should "hand" either of the two jobs out of spring training. I would rather have Colabello as an outfielder than Kubel and Florimon/Escobar over Bartlett. I would say its safer to see one of them on the DL ending ST a la Cole DeVries than coming with for the opening series in the Regular Season. Retreads are the Twins MOS though........

EPICLY TRUE! Who would be a White Castle Cheeseburger?

Say we do sign Garza, what does that mean for our AAAA starters, package them to be sent to somewhere else? Its not like there are many spots in the bullpen really..... Maybe send some people to Korea to play, and I aint talking basketball for Rodman.

Worst case scenario, there is a retirement ceremony around July or August where everyone wants tickets to say goodbye to Johan. Probably draw more tickets than the All-Star game.

Sign Garza and JOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! Because we will prolly need a fill in pitcher around summer.

If we're going to sign old people to play areas of need, lets sign Mike Lamb again to play 3rd. Heck, maybe Adam Everett can play SS sometime too......................................

Signing a 37 year old virgin (to Target Field/AL) with a 3 year is far more infuriating than someone still recovering from/working back from Tommy John. Pelfry has at least spent a year here and would be a cheap cut compared to Arroyo if he went Jason Marquis on us.

Well Boof was in a Triple Play against the Mariners.........

For some reason I'm just thinking Colabello leaving the Twins will be the Big Papi story 2.0. Straight to Boston.........................

Meh, roy & johan. If we're gonna fail, FAIL BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At the worst, they'd be unofficial pitching coaches, because you KNOW everyone on TD L O V E S Mr. Anderson.

Would way rather have Colabello DH and k 3 times than to have Kubel back

Mauer to pitcher! The highest paid in the offseason. He has an arm, he played QB and that would be the reason to get Johan over here and be a teacher to someone who has caught him.
