We’ve been in a tornado watch for most of the day, but it hasn’t even rained… Just hot and sticky…

He played 19 games at Triple-A for us towards the end of his career, and has taken Audra’s field side commentary job for a few road games this year.

But if we put a young guy in the bullpen, where will we fit our next washed up DFA claim? In all seriousness, I’ve been enjoying Parades. As I mentioned in the Weekly Wrap, he pitched serviceably in game 2 against the Rockies. With a few tweaks, he could be great to cover Joe Ryan’s almost inevitable trade. But he has certainly earned more time in the big league club, and if that’s time in the bullpen, I say let’s keep him there.

I’m finding the Banda news to be very distressing… He’d been settling in so well! I can’t imagine that it was just that one pitch, so I am curious when/if he brought it to the team’s attention… I wonder how much of it is a hold over from that last spate of issues - obviously we’ll never know, but maybe if they hadn’t brought him back so quickly in DH spot it would be looking different…

I was impressed by Paredes on Saturday. He did a fair job at limiting the damage - we could have been a contender if it wasn’t once again for the bullpen! Very poor substitution choices were made across the Rockies series… Those wins were by the skin of our teeth! -
We win two games against the Rockies, and lose one. What did the two we win have in common? I’ll give you a hint - I’ve been proselytizing about him for a while… Nice to get this series after the trouncing that happened previously. Let’s keep that going as we hit the road - Texas was good to us last time, here’s hoping the Lone Star state treats us well this time around, too!
