  1. I also cringed at that ball in the dirt. Blocked by Garver! Amazing! Blocked ball by Garver and no walks by Lynn, all in the same inning!
  2. For Lynn, that's a step up. Before, there was no bar Lynn couldn't limbo under.
  3. I thought for sure Lynn was going to walk home a run. More progress!
  4. Since the thread yesterday had such excellent results (Twins Win) I decided I best stick to what is the winning formula. So, without much further ado, here is the thread from yesterday. (be quiet over there, I'm not being lazy, I'm being creative!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haWRUpPw_tI It was nice to stick out a game and not cringe a dozen times. By my count, there were only a half dozen cringe worthy moments. Progress! Today the Twins play the Sox and hopefully, Mr. Lynn will shake off whatever has been troubling him and get the job done. And now, some thoughts for thinking: 1. Hector Santiago pitches for the Sox?2. Daniel Palka plays for the Sox?3. Sorry, I got nothing.4. More nothing.5. Okay, we'll just mail it in at this point. White Sox: P: Hector Santiago Twins: P. Lance Lynn mods: I may not be back in time to post lineups. Thanks again everyone who reads what I put up! I appreciate it very much.
  5. The people who wrote "Gumby" definitely had a working relationship with psychedelics.
  6. I've long thought advertising companies pitch multiple ideas knowing full well there's a real clunker in the bunch..yet, somehow, a company, once in a while, picks what is arguably one of the worst ideas.
  7. Commercials are so bad I'm seriously considering getting rid of my Direct TV MLB account and going back to streaming. For whatever reason, when I stream the games to my TV, no commercials, just the Twins logo dancing quietly on the screen.
  8. I was looking at Palka thinking maybe the Twins should have hung on to him..then I saw that Conseco worthy play in the outfield and thought better of that idea.
  9. I take it back, the Dew ice commercial is the worst thing I've seen in a long time. I cannot believe Morgan Freeman does that commercial.

  11. When it comes to poor managerial decisions, right now, it's a toss-up between Glynn sending Castro "I run like I have lead shoes on" and the suicide squeeze.
  12. Still better than the "Gyro" commercial. Though, I suppose Bonnie Tyler is laughing all the way to the bank.
  13. Dozier! Oh, wait, Escobar! Oh, wait, Morrison!
  14. Year after year, Escobar gets the job done, yet, it seems like he's always having to fight for his position.
  15. Does he constantly talk about balance points and good downward plane?
  16. I was thinking more along the lines of "yo, FO, we need the spot on the 40 man. We have someone who needs the same treatment."
  17. I woke with a start and realized I had a game thread due today. Fortunately, the door to my office was closed so I had some privacy as I consulted my zzzz's, I mean, muse. I wonder if I can claim workers comp because I slammed my knee into my desk when I awakened? This season started out so well and the game second game in Puerto Rico was a regular season game for the ages. Since then, our home town nine has fallen into the doldrums. But, never fear, we're going to be cheerful in the face of adversity because we're baseball fans. Why? Because no one knows how to blamecast quite like baseball fans. We're very adroit when it comes to blamecasting. Disclaimer: Don't try this at home because we're what you call "experts." With that out of the way, some things to think about: (for a small fee!) Lineups: Twins Pitching: Jose Berrios ® 1. Joe Mauer (L) 1B 2. Brian Dozier ® 2B 3. Max Kepler (L) RF 4. Eddie Rosario (L) LF 5. Eduardo Escobar (S) 3B 6. Logan Morrison (L) DH 7. Ehire Adrianza (S) SS 8. Jason Castro (L) C 9. Ryan LaMarre ® CF White Sox Pitching: Carson Fulmer 1. Yoan Moncada (S) 2B 2. Yolmer Sanchez (S) 3B 3. Jose Abreu ® 1B 4. Nicky Delmonico (L) LF 5. Matt Davidson ® DH 6. Daniel Palka (L) RF 7. Leury Garcia (S) CF 8. Tim Anderson ® SS 9. Omar Narvaez (L) C Just kidding about the things to think about. Some things to think about: 1: Is light beer really beer?2: What is the point of decaffeinated coffee?3: Parkay: Is it butter or not? (it's freaking margarine and it tastes like margarine, yeesh!)4: Ketchup on hot dogs? Yes? No? Sacrilege?5: Space X is awesome!
  18. For an ordinary boater, yes, that would be correct. However, for a nice fedora, probably want to go with a good rub followed up with a dipping sauce.
  19. 2016 Twins: Worst team ever! 2018 Twins: Hold my beer!
