Thanks Matt. “Trust” may not be the right sentiment here. But our 3-6 start out of the all star break definitely makes the Twins sellers. But it should be moveable pieces that improve 2026, NOT a rebuild (I.e. do not trade Ryan). If the FO can package Jax, Bader, Duran, Julien, etc for a useful arm or 1B, let’s do it. The core is solid, let’s fill the holes and not settle for adding depth.

Payoffs are in jeopardy. The team is on fumes. We badly need a spark. Right now I’d take Buxton and/or Correa at 85% just to get some abs in clutch spots. The hitting has been awful.

Julien can hit, and has hit well since being recalled. He should be in the Twins long term plans, but I don’t expect big contributions from him in October. He will continue to develop and improve, especially on defense. Carew wasn’t good in the field at the start either, but like Julien, the bat was too good to pass on. Not saying Julien will be HOF, but he can be a solid mlb second baseman.

I like going a Ryan/Maeda piggyback for game 1 in Houston. Keeps everyone on regular rest and plays to our strength of pitching depth. Four each from Joe and Kenta, plus a few more runs than we put up vs Jays would be a great start to the series.
