  1. So Dr says Gallo has been playing hurt.
  2. Well it's official. Gallo onto the IL and Kiriloff up.
  3. Make sure there are only two outs in playoff games!
  4. It's going to be (barring IL necessity for someone) Luplow or maybe Stevenson. Kirilloff will be here soon and Michael A Taylor not far behind.
  5. I was also surprised the Cleveland starter Williams came back. Maybe they played toss under the stands.
  6. Seems the author wasn't happy he started off the season in AAA and then wasn't happy he got sent back down after being effective in August. There were valid reasons for both decisions. I hope we see him in some capacity toward the end of September.
  7. Probably an hour plus rain delay made it inevitable. I was surprised he came back out for the 4th.
  8. The Polanco Solano show needs to be a part of the leadoff order in 2024. No question they can set the table and sometimes clear it. Health issues are always a specter but a batting order in 24 of.. 1b Solano/Kirilloff 2b Polanco/Julien 3b Lewis/Polanco LF Wallner SS Correa DH Julien/Kirilloff/Buxton/Solano CF Martin/Buxton/Taylor RF Kepler/Martin C Jeffers/Vazquez is nothing to sneeze at. I'd keep Willi Castro around and maybe even Jordan Luplow until Emmanuel Rodriguez or Brooks Lee is ready.
  9. Grateful Tampa 1) won and 2) gave Cleveland's bullpen a bit of a workout
  10. Looks like Willi Castro is back and Michael A Taylor will be on the IL.
  11. The bullpen is going to be toast by Monday. They do need some help. Varland, perhaps, or maybe recall Ober as a late inning solution.
  12. In another twist the Marlins cut Jorge Lopez and the Orioles just reacquainted themselves with him.
  13. We could always show up and push them off the base with the tag. :) We'll always have that, Gant take it away.
  14. There have been very few 'laughers' but to channel Tito Francona plenty of 'cryers'.
  15. So we traded unexpectedly volatile for predictably volatile..
  16. Harrison Bader, Mike Clevinger, Josh Donaldson.. players on what were thought to be contenders are dropping at a furious clip.
  17. FWIW the Angels just dumped a lot of players including Giolito and Renfroe.
  18. The team is a healthy mix of veterans and rookies.. and they're finally getting literally healthy. I don't want to put all the eggs in a couple baskets but if Brock Stewart.and Alex Kirilloff can return at 90 percent of what they were, I think we're ready to go..
  19. "The seventh and eighth innings brought some minimal drama, but at the end of the day Keuchel had pitched four scoreless innings, and kept the Twins in the game." There were more heroes than goats today, just enough to get the W. Rocco's pinch hitting shell game with Vazquez was embarrassing to witness but he handled the bullpen flawlessly. Keuchel, Kepler, Taylor.. a different hero every day..
  20. I think he absolutely needs to be a consideration as part of the starting rotation. Paddack and Varland are wild card in the mix.. even if Kenta comes back, the team will likely still look for a top tier pitcher. Nola? Snell?
