  1. Hey, I hope everyone is enjoying the Twins' 9-2 beatdown of the Sacramento A's of Las Vegas by Way of Oakland (even though it's the 5th, but you can join in the official TD Game Thread), but a few questions for everyone as we look ahead to the 2nd half of the season and beyond... 1. Which Twins will represent the AL in the All-Star Game at Globe Life Field next month? 2. Will there be better Pablo (Lopez) Days for number 49 in the 2nd half? (I say yes!) 3. Will Byron Buxton return to 2022 All-Star form in the 2nd half? 4. Who do you think can carry the Twins to the postseason, and FINALLY help Minnesota beat those Darned Yankees in October? 5. How about this for an idea: how about a contingent of Twins Daily members come to Cooperstown, NY for American Idol Joe Mauer's Hall of Fame induction speech? (I still get a kick out of Sports Illustrated calling Mauer the American Idol in their 8/7/06 cover) 6. Which player struggling in '24 must step up in the 2nd half for the Twins to have a deep playoff run, maybe a World Championship? Well, I believe the Twins can catch the Guardians and win the AL Central again, and this time, we CAN beat the Yankee$ to claim the pennant, and maybe with the right tools and luck, we can win it all (just like the '87 World Series champs that went 85-77 and won it all)! Let's have the spirit of 1987 come through in these 2024 Twins, and don't forget to wave your Homer Hankies at Target Field...hope they can bring them good luck when we return home from this road trip!
  2. It'll get better tonight when the Timberwolves get destroyed by the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets! Go Lynx! Go Minnesota United FC! Make our city proud for a change!
  3. 1 run in 3 games vs. the Yanks. Please, T-Wolves, give us something for us to cheer about...no wait: they're playing the NUGGETS!
  4. Hey, Twins: how about sending Castro/Kirilloff/Martin to the AAA Saints, or the AA Wind Surge, or the Single A Kernels/Mighty Mussels? Maybe next time we play the Yanks, we can wear the AAA St. Paul Saints or AA Wichita Wind Surge jerseys!
  5. Like I said before, the Twins' 44-119 record against the Yankee$ since '02 is the Pohlad family's fault. You want to know why? They don't spend big money on free agents like the Yankees and Dodgers do. So, blame it on the Pohlads for being stingy on free agents, and Manfred for not installing a salary cap so we (and other small-market teams) can be competitive with the large-market clubs. In the meantime, can't wait until the new City Connect jerseys debut...tomorrow, the Guardians (Twins' next opponent) wear their new CC jerseys!
  6. I have a good idea for the Twins: Let's sweep those Yankee$ next month! And let's bounce back this weekend in Cleveland.
  7. I wonder how Tom at TFTwins over on YouTube will recap this series...let's at least score a few runs, and look ahead to the Guardians series.
  8. It's 6-0 Yankees. Why don't we just quit the rest of the game, then watch the Wolves quit against Denver, and have the ladies over at the Lynx laugh at us? Now there is one team that knows how to win championships in Minnesota. Because of the Yankees, I'm being pessimistic now. The Twins better sweep the Guardians, or this season is over.
  9. that's how many wins the Twins have had against the Yankee$$$$ since '02. Actually, we are 44-118 vs. the Brinks Bombers. Thanks, Manfred, for not implementing a salary cap and a level playing field for all 30 teams. Manfred, why don't you quit being Commisioner of MLB, and have someone who can give the Twins a fighting chance vs. the Yank$$$$.
  10. How Twins fans feel about 22 years of losing to the Yankees (h/t Charles Schulz, Minneapolis native, creator of Charlie Brown/Peanuts)
  11. The Yankees are 114-49 vs. the Twins since 2002. Who's running the Twins: the Pohlads, or the Estate of Charles M. Schulz (Minneapolis native, creator of Peanuts, and responsible for Charlie Brown's All Stars losing all the time)?
  12. The Rally Sausage is nothing but a fad. The 2024 Twins are frauds. The Pohlads are to blame for losing to the Yankees often. And the T-Wolves will be eliminated tonight. What else do you expect from Minnesota sports? 33 years without a title, and all 4 teams are awful (well, the Twins are awful in this series). When will the Twins, Vikings, Wolves and Wild stop losing big games & give us a World Championship after all this? Pathetic.
  13. Hey, at least we struck out 14 Dodgers! And Jeffers homered! Now, let's have the Sherriff rack up more K's tomorrow in a Twins win over LA.
  14. 15 strikeouts by the Twins tonight. And the fools at the Twins PR department calls the 2024 Twins campaign "Baseball, 'Sota Style." If the Dodgers sweep us tomorrow, the new slogan should be: "Losing to the Dodgers and Yankees: A Pohlad Family Tradition, 'Sota Style." Hope the Sherriff comes through tomorrow, and start a winning streak when we hit Detroit.
