    I could not agree with the "lesser-mauer" comp more....Kepler could hit more bombs than Joe, maybe. The only reason they would not add him to the 40-man, is if he is traded or flops face first in low-A, in my opinion

    Sidenote: Today i was informed by a colleague that Ryan Doumit's dad coaches at a JUCO in Oregon. I bet Ryan got a lot of quality reps as a kid, which is what kids need! I like Doumit's abilities, and I agree he was a fantastic sign

    I stand by my opinion that Rosario is an advanced hitter capable of moving multiple levels in 2013. He has no shot of playing in MN this year, but I stand by my opinion that I would be more entertained by his rookie-struggles than by the usual suspects.

Berrios has been described as physically mature beyond his age (whatever that means), so maybe he gets a heavier workload than someone else his age." Is this "way off base"? Is this "crap" as you have suggested? No where in the entire article are the words "Berrios should absolutely be in Ft Myers this year" as you suggested.

    No doubt. Strange things consistently happen in baseball. Will Eddie be a Carew-caliber talent? Time will tell. I love considering all possibilities, but Rosario has a lot of "ifs" to go along with a ton of potential.

    Maybe you never intended to attack me personally, but I would understand either way and promise to respect you moving forward, but I have to ask.... Deeply troubled? By the rules of a baseball fan forum? What is so incomprehensible about a "standard of respect" for others?

    I completely agree with the second paragraph. But my projection was not nearly as wild as your example projection. How can my projection not be viewed as a probable career-year for Hicks in MLB? (.290 with 25 HR's and 35 Sb's) I am very sorry if I did not clarify the context of my projection better. But now you know. It is perfectly realistic, and I require that you explain why I should not hope for this....

    Change the "with" to "without" and I could not agree more. I love debating about prospects, and I have been guilty of posting instigating comments in the past. I promise to debate respectfully with anyone from now forward.

    Hicks to start year in MN? I doubt that will happen. Gibson really has no shot at starting opening day, in my opinion.

    We all know Rosario wont have a shot at MLB until 2014 at the earliest. In fact, I predicted this about Eddie last November: 4. Eddie Rosario - will play an entire season in Ft. Myers (A+) with his buddy Sano while they both learn how to play defense.. Will hit enough for fans to scream for his call-up in September. But that wont happen. He will start 2014 in AA and 2015 in AAA if the front office has its way. His Miracle numbers I project: .285-.310 avg (tough league for hitters), 10-15 HR's, 70-85 RBI's, 10-20 SB's....solid player. Again, I was well aware Rosario would not be playing in MN this year. Have been for quite some time. Thank you all for posting.

    Hey this is really coming together nicely...except for Cingrani, Johnson, Drew, Revere, Baker, Bedard, Marcum, Haren, Guererra??, Grilli, Peralta, and Keppinger. I understand this was last November, so you need a little leniency. But hey, you really made some bold predictions. Lots of them. I encourage that.

    It takes a nimble mind to wrap your head around that one! But if you read the entire post, it makes perfect sense. The other comp was Torii Hunter....Did you even catch that? Or was your "reading" too selective? What problems do you have with comparing Hunter to Hicks?

    Well, maybe. I am well aware what the FSL does to many a hitter's statistics. So a dip in production would not surprise me. Why are you so worried about people being disappointed? Is it your duty to protect Twins fans from being disappointed? If so, that's cool. I guess? I am sorry if you're shocked at the "expectations being put forth"...but what exact expectations are you referring to? And yes, this is completely "just for fun"....not just "kind of" for fun. So try to enjoy the differences of opinion rather than trying to get everyone to think just like you. I appreciate your level-headedness, and I thank you for your response in advance.
