  1. No. 7 tonight... Little bit of a cold spell huh? He must have been sick of all thise EBHs
  2. I thought since the twins pitchers have been so good at giving up bombs I thought this would be an interesting topic to discuss... If anyone has any metrics on this please input (especially if it relates to our Twins pitchers). So, what failed pitch do we see get hit out more than others, is it a flat slider, change left up, low 90s fastball down the middle, sinker with no sink, etc...
  3. I cant really watch the game, just gameday... And does jerome williams have the best sinker in existence or what? It looks like nothing is even making it out of the infield, or in the air for that matter
  4. Mistake please delete
  5. Looks like Blackburn is getting some really good movement and location on his pitches tonight... Batters are doing well against it but I'm feeling fairly vood about this start if we can get some offense going
  6. Haha weird so did I he actually got me my first homerun of the season
  7. In the majors Be an inside or outside the park HR? Valid question i think
  8. [quote name=one_eyed_jack;13356 He can chase down balls in the gap that nobody else can get' date=' but the tradeoff is that teams will take the extra base on his popgun arm all night long. Unforunately, the position that's the best logical fit for him is LF, and that's occupied by Willingham.[/quote] Although i would like to see the stat that compares the ammount extra bases taken away (in comparison to league avg of) because of his range and fielding vs extra bases as a result of his weak arm
  9. Theres not many players i would trade span for... Hes a career .360+ obp with top speed, range and plate disciplin. Hes always been one of the best leadoff men in the game and trading him would be rediculous. Plus he still has a lot of career left, hed way move valuable to this team then prospects
  10. I thought carroll, Mayer,Morneau, willingham, or at least a couple of them were due for a day off.... Maybe there's a sense of ugency to get this win today? Not your typical gardy Sunday lineup
  11. Terry Ryan is making bill smith look like a real chump right now
  12. Capps looked pretty good tonight he's starting to get some good movement on that splitter
  13. How miserable of an at bat by Valencia. Something needs to be done with this kid
  14. Oh god please don't give Capps only 1 run to work with at least it will be against the bottom of the order
  15. Damn burton looking pretty good against some really good hitters.... That split finger looks like a 92mph changeup
  16. Four bases and an rbi... Can we count that as one?
  17. Willinghammer!!!!!!!!!!! What a great AB coming from behind and getting a 3 run double
  18. Is it just me or is this Gomes guy as annoying to watch pitch as pappelbon
  19. I really don't think Carroll will move from SS that's obviously where he is meant to be, don't mess with what's working. Plus he doesn't have the strongest arm for 3rd.
  20. Damn, at let the home run came after the dp.... C'mon guys let's get the bats going
  21. I really like this Hendricks guy, I love how even when behind in the count hell still challenge guys on the outer half and never just gives it up
  22. I don't think he will ever be officially out of the doghouse if he's working under Gardy no matter how good he can be at times
  23. Very interesting fact is that he is the Midwest league leader in HR SO and BB.... I know it's easy to knock the plate disciplin for having a lot of strikeouts but with an OBP of over 400 and OPS of Over 1100... That's an elite prospect if he maintains the SOs can be overlooked
