    I don't know if its really fair to compare Mauer to Lucroy, who is about as elite as Jose Molina in terms of framing. Might be that Mauer still gets an above average number of low strikes called. edit: So, the average low strike rate is 19.5/.587 = 33.2%?

    Pelfrey tipping his pitches. More hesitation in the windup when he guns it. When he rocks back and forth without so much pause, its been offspeed.

    Yeah that was a nice sequence to finish off Bourjos at the end there. His breaking pitch worked for him most of the night. That cutter was crushed on 3 or 4 ocassions though, including both HRs. I wonder if he will eventually ditch it, or if he relies on it to keep hitters from keying off his sinker.
