    7/25 Twins signed LF Xavier Avery to a minor league contract. Is this just another run of the mill minor league signing or adding a player to take Arcia's roster spot in Rochester? I don't expect Avery to ever really contribute to the big league club but the move gives Rochester six outfielders three of which are LF. Wilken Ramirez is on the 7-day DL I don't know how long he's been on the DL and don't know if it'll be long term or not. So is this a move anticipating Arcia will be called up or traded or just an extra outfielder?

    This shouldn't change the Twins strategy at all. Royals getting Cueto doesn't change the fact the bullpen still needs help, catcher is a weak spot and SS is a weak spot. I don't want to see the Twins make a trade for a rental, if they're giving up prospects they need to get someone they have control of for past this year. Good move for the Royals though.

    Calling a team soft is a weak cop out. If they'er not trying or quitting on plays is one thing but I haven't seen much of that over the course of the season so far.

    Time to worry about Gibson!? Really!? He's had 2 rough outings after 4/5 good starts. Remember how inconsistent he was last year? He's only 27 and still getting better, no need to worry about him until he stops improving (not after 1 or 2 bad games). He's not a shut down #1 ace and probably never will be but that doesn't mean he won't be quality starter. He'll bounce back and get more of those ground ball outs.
