  1. 1. The Tigers will win the AL Central with a record of 87-75 2. The Minnesota Twins will finish in 4th place in the division with a record of 73-89 3. Current Twins who will be wearing new uniforms after the trade deadline include: Denard Span, Francisco Liriano 4. The Los Angeles Angels will defeat the Washington Nationals to win the 2012 World Series.
  2. Sellers, sellers, sellers, sellers. Sellers. I'd be happy with these guys traded: Either Span or Willingham. (man I wish Benson was knocking on the door so they could trade them both) 3 of these 4: Burton, Perkins, Liriano, Grey Anyone who wants Capps, Valencia, Casilla, or Pavano thrown in can have them. Morneau is more complicated. I'd trade him if someone actually offered someone the twins throught would slot into the twins system as a top 15 prospect, but I doubt that would be offered. I'd love it if the Twins sent a big package to one team - say Span, Burton and Liriano, and got a AA pitcher that could contribute in 2013 or 2014. Build around Gibson, Diamond, the new pitcher, a FA signing, and Hendriks/Walters/Bromberg/Wimmers/FA signing. Sheesh do they need starters.
  3. Not sure on trading Morneau, as his value is not that high right now given his contract. Although it's painful to do, selling high is the smart approach. Capps, Willingham and Span will never have higher trade value that they will have just before the trade deadline. The twins aren't doing anything this year or next, and 2014 isn't looking great either. I'd like to see the twins become clear sellers this year, stocking up on 20-22 year olds, so they can all arrive together in 2015 or so. With the $ off the books, sign a lot of free agents next year to one or 2 year deals. When the trade deadline comes, trade them away again for more prospects. I don't think anyone goes to games to see Willingham, he's productive yet somehow not that entertaining, strange but true. So much more fun to watch Thome hit a home run than Willingham, I don't know why that is but it's true. I'd say that Revere would put nearly as many fans in the seats as Willingham, he flys all over the place doing crazy stuff. Bummer that Joe Benson's having a terrible year, if he was raking at AAA they could get a haul trading both Span and Willingham and go with Benson Revere and Doumit in the OF.
