2and31guy's Achievements

  1. His Grandma Johnston (his mom's mother) passed away on July 4th, 2013 in the early morning. I am sure he was notified by his mother soon after. His grandma was so proud of him and listened to every Twins game to wait and hear her grandson come in to pitch. I am sure she is watching now from above!!!
  2. If the Twins didn't have one of the best bullpens in the majors this year, I would hope he would have been called up already. I am sure this applies to a lot of people, but if you take out his one bad outing where he gave up the 5 ER in 1/3 an inning, then look at his numbers...he is really doing well to start the year. He may not be a big name prospect guy, like most of the guys talked about on Twins Daily, but when you look at the numbers, they don't lie....
  3. I do not believe he was a walk-on at South Dakota State University. He also has an few all-time records with the Saints in his few months there, so gladly he didn't give up on baseball when the Brewers decided to cut him. And the Twins are seeing the benefits on his hard work and determination.
  4. In the Rochester game, Thielbar actually came in and struck out the first batter and had the second batter at two strikes before giving up the hit. Being a new listener to minor leagues games, I will have to say they are quite entertaining to listen to and watch through milb.com. Don't know if it is normal, but it seems to me that there are quite a few extra inning games that have been occuring in AAA over this season. A few timely hits, or timely pitches, would lessen these, but I guess when the Major club moves players around due to injury and performance so much, it is tough to get into a groove at any level of baseball.
  5. All chosen are very good relievers, and all deserve to be on this list. I am hoping that Red Winger Caleb Thielbar was in the top 10 of the month. Still pretty amazing story, starting in Ft Myers and within two months, running up the league to AAA Rochester and striking out some pretty good hitters. He is walking a few more than normal in AAA, but he is also getting out of tough situations as well. Nice list though Seth!!!
  6. Wondering if someone like Caleb Thielbar in AA New Britian would ever get looked at to move up to AAA bullpen...has been in the system for not quite a year yet, but his numbers were outstanding in ft myers and have continued to be very strong in AA. He was a pickup from St. Paul saints last year, and he seems to be a strike throwing pitcher that gets the job done very consistently
  7. Normally rely's on accuracy and pitch placement...very knowledgable pitcher
