  1. OK. I'm listening to the radio feed so couldn't follow what you were referring to. And it wouldn't be the first time the TV broadcast team was causing laughter unintentionally.
  2. Wow! I'm sorry...W O W !! (have to keep this in the spirit of the thread)
  3. You mean the pronunciation with the stress on the first sylable? That's how it's supposed to be. They finally asked him.
  4. Patience. Next inning is the 6th. You know what happens to Twins starters in the 6th.
  5. Do you think Walters knows he's pitching for his job? 1 hit thru 4.
  6. Oh my. For a moment I flashed back to junior high. It wasn't pretty.
  7. I'm listening on the radio via internet, so I couldn't see it, but I was wondering about that. You know Walters is going to need more than one run.
  8. Is it too late to put some money down on that 157/100 line?
  9. What can we say? Standards are slipping and loosening everywhere.
  10. A week from Sunday. You can bring your wife, too.
  11. None in Pocatello either. They had one, but it's being changed into a fast-food mediterranean restaurant. True story. Sad, but true.
  12. I suppose I should clarify this. I'm talking about inviting 3 young ladies to a church ice cream social. What were you all thinking of?
  13. Why should you have to choose? Mix Faith, PJ, Paige and ice cream all together and see what happens...
  14. So whose pitching tonight? And what happened to Walters?
  15. Isn't that one of those controversial topics we try to avoid? Besides, there's only one right answer - chocolate, and the more the better.
  16. Well! Tied after one. That's more than any of us had any right to expect!
  17. Well, what would be the surprise about that...oh, you mean intentionally.
  18. I do too. I had this really neat pair when I was a kid, with Apollo spaceships and astronauts on it.
  19. I guess I just disagree with the connection here. I think it is a very fair question to discuss payroll and how it correlates with ownership's commitment to putting a quality product on the field (although I personally am sick of the topic). But how the ongoing business that is the Minnesota Twins is conducted and how one man's estate was organized for tax purposes are two entirely different things. I don't think the second topic tells us anything about the first. I own stock in GE. When I die that stock will be a part of my estate. But how my estate is settled will have no bearing or impact on how GE runs its business in the future. Now, if you want to look at how other businesses owned by the Pohlads are run and use that as evidence for a profit mentality, that is a legitimate comparison. But estate planning tells us nothing about how a person or family runs their ongoing businesses.
