  1. I'm 3 of 4 when it comes to the Twins. I have gotten a few right in regards to other teams (Baseball and Football mostly) over the last decade as well. Most of those were given to buddies at various sports websites.
  2. FWIW I never said this was my Twins source (who is still around), I said it's either a source with the Dodgers or the Twins.....
  3. Niiiicce, What part of Brooklyn? I'm in Williamsburg myself. Yeah there are quite a few Twins fans, I remember during game 163 several years ago a bunch just randomly showed up at Bar None (Vikings bar) to watch the game. I actually run this meetup group: https://www.meetup.com/Minnesota-Vikings-Twins-Wild-TWolves-Fans-in-NYC/ Obviously weekly Vikings watch parties are well attended (the co organizer sets those up), but in the past we have even set up some Wild playoff watch parties. Lake Street (In Green point) gets some Minnesota fans in quite a bit as well, that bar is owned by 4 Minneapolis dudes, and a couple of them were in Spoon or the Hold Steady IIRC. Foleys gets some Twins fans in the city, and Bar None/Jack Doyles are Vikings HQ.
  4. None of this is blockbuster information. It's been hinted at all over the place the last week anyways. It's a contact I have within one of the two orgs, I mean there is a reason why I never have to pay for tickets when I goto Twins and Dodgers games....
  5. Urias is more or less untouchable. There is a reason why the Dodgers weren't in on Sale....
  6. I'm not a source. There has been plenty of other smoke recently as well. My source told me that what I said in the OP.
  7. I dunno, I have seen plenty of reports of him being a #2 moving forward. #3 is his floor, high end number two/borderline #1 is his ceiling. Also we hear every year that the Twins have a bunch of #3 starters a year or two away....how has that worked out the last 6 years?
  8. Unlikely. If there is a second piece it won't be anything of real note.
  9. Sorry yeah that was what I was trying to get across. The Dodgers don't want to give up Lux (in addition to two better prospects) they prefer the third/forth pieces to be guys with lesser upside.
  10. Dodgers have no interest in Perkins. Just way to much risk at this stage. Perk will stay a Twin (thankfully as he is my favorite player)
  11. Twins asked for him as a third piece, Dodgers rebuffed. There is an outside chance he could be the second piece though.
  12. De Leon, Berrios and May would be a nice start to a rotation for the next several years. None may be "true ace" types, but De Leon and Berrios have #2 upside, and May is just behind them IMO. I actually like De Leon a little bit more than Berrios TBH
  13. Yeah, Sale is an elite pitcher, maybe one of the most valuable 10 players in all of baseball. Dozier is a helluva player, if he mimics his 2016 for the next 2-3 years, then he is a top 10 player in all of baseball, but currently I would rank him someone in the 40-60 range TBH If Dozier was a free agent you are prob looking at a 5 year/90 mil deal. If Sale was a free agent you are looking at 8 years and close to $240 million.
  14. I love the Falvey and Levine hires. Like any front office, I will give them 4 years before I judge them or imply they are on any sort of hot seat.
  15. Players 3 and 4 (if they end up having a 4th) likely won't be much to write home about. Ideally they are lottery tickets instead of Pat Dean types etc.
  16. They have no desire for any other Twins player in this trade. The Twins potentially could trade some AAA filler, but that's highly unlikley. They want Dozier, nobody else.
  17. Nah, some filler. Twins want a low level arm (20-25 prospect range I am told) dodgers prefer to give up a low floor/low ceiling AA type
  18. Meh I don't pretend to be a blogger or reporter or anything. But just pass along things when I hear them (rarely) I am 3 for 4 in my career though with Twins breaking news I did break the Mauer contract after all! I'd be shocked if I'm wrong on this one. Source hasn't let me down yet.
  19. As I reported in the new thread, the deal is pretty much a done deal. No Urias (obviously) and no Puig
  20. One other aspect to pass along: "Twins have next to no interest in Puig, don't think he would fare well on a rebuilding team, attitude questions, hustle, not a Twins type player"
