Rosterman, how is Jared Burton on the short leash? In his last 8 appearances, he has thrown 8.1 innings of no-hit baseball with 2 walks, 2 HBP, and 8 strikeouts. Zero of the 4 inherited runners have scored off him this season.

If Gardy did platoons more often, Abreu could start a few games in RF vs RHP. But that most likely means Clete Thomas will be DFA, leaving Plouffe as the backup CF. -

Just a guess, but some of Dozier's errors might be low throws that Bates and Rizzotti were unable to scoop. A good defensive first baseman can cover up a lot of would-be errors. -
Steve Singleton is a free agent. Why didn't the Twins sign him instead of Thurston? Just kidding.

I'm guessing the Twins think hitting coach Tom Brunansky will work well with Matt Rizzotti. Maybe the Twins can get Kent Hrbek to help Rizzotti with his glove/foot work at first base. -
2 good things for Moyer: 1. His first start will be against the Houston Astros, the team with the worst W/L record in 2011. 2. The game will be played in Houston, not Colorado.
