No, I somehow don't believe my typed thoughts have an effect on a baseball game. I'm trying to be objective, but I outside of the HBP and the one pitch to O'Hearn, I think Berrios has looked very, very good.

Well, Berrios looked pretty darned good to open this game... mixing his pitches nicely, command of each and some generousity from the home plate umpire...

Yeah, maybe our bullpen coach told Rocco 'May's stuff is off the charts tonight' or something. The guy came in and threw everything with a purpose and helped us get over the line (and keep Taylor Rogers fresh). I don't care about being "wrong" - as long as we win! :-)

Hindsight is always 20/20 and I probably would have persisted with Smeltzer, but Graterol is a "real" pitcher... He's got the best stuff in the organization and games like this will help build him up for postseason...

I was thinking the same thing... it's like he must play with all of his toys. I know Smeltzer has reverse splits, but lefties are hitting nearly .400 against Stashak, yes?

Some might say they're booing because of their "baseball intelligence", knowing you can't use the words "team player" and Yasiel Puig in the same sentence. IMO, he is a narcissistic, selfish player and I don't think our booing Puig has anything to do whatsoever to his race (or the color of his hair) or anything else other than the fact that he's disrespected the game, his teammates and himself by yet another poor decision. Yes, GO TWINS! :-) Sam Morley: "Fans are stupid. They're also at least a touch racis… ahh, well... Go Twins!"
