  1. HBP... It ain't sexy but it's a run.
  2. That's good to hear. It's a miracle you were not drenched. Some in Chicago were not so lucky. Has the Mayors office decided what they are going to do about the... Umm... Puddle,
  3. It's even more frightening now that you have to consider they are normal sober lucid thoughts.
  4. Nice Version... But it was synergistic with the NyQuil.
  5. If they did... That is exactly how they snuck it by me. Sticking it next to Bill Anderson and Buck Owens.
  6. The Cascades sound like Everly Brothers... That's probably the reason. How Bout BJ Thomas Raindrops keep falling on my head
  7. Just looked at the Chicago radar... Looks like a small cell of rain. They should be starting very soon. I wonder if ChiTown is Ok... With rain falling and all.
  8. Are we? I do t recall the Everly Brothers Doin that one.
  9. How bout the Cascades Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain Telling me just what a fool I've been
  10. Maybe NyQuil needs a new marketing campaign. Branch out with sales from the non-illness crowd,
  11. I'm fighting it... I'm not a napper.
  12. Honestly...I normally don't medicate. Not on purpose... I guess I'm just a go with the flow guy. My wife usually has to bring me something and say... Take this... Damn it. And she needs to... Because I don't read the box. If she says... "Well take something" she sees the immediate... I don't know what something is... Look on my face. I'm not sick very often and when I am... It's a larger sick and nothing seems to help. If it's a little sickness... It usually doesn't bother me.
  13. I love the Lewis Black line "NyQuil comes in red and green and it's the only thing on the planet that tastes like red and green.
  14. Santana starts the game exactly how a lead off hitter should.
  15. I'll be surprised if I make it through the game. I've taken enough NyQuil... Right now it feels like I poured it on my eyelids.
  16. Yeah... Pino was all over everything. ESPN... CBS... Other websites. I don't know how that happens but it happened,
  17. The Lineups... Hitters getting in a line... umm... upward and therefore... they line UP. Much more optimistic than a Line DOWN. ChiTown has them... Coming soon. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Here you go Minnesota Twins CF Santana 2B Dozier 3B Plouffe LF Willingham C Suzuki DH Vargas RF Arcia 1B Parmelee SS Escobar SP Pino Chicago WhiteSox CF Eaton 2B Beckham DH Abreu 3B Gillaspie SS Ramirez 1B Konerko RF Viciedo LF De Aza C Flowers SP Quintana - Things to Think About: 1, The White Sox -- I hate them so much... I've thought about them 6 times this morning. As Thought number one this would be the 7th time. The Twins have had to score a lot of runs to keep up with the Sox this series. I don't know if it's the Twins pitching or the White Sox swinging well. Another game today to try and make that determination. 2. Jose Quintana -- I've already done a thing on Quintana. The Thing to talk about with Jose is this... He's been pitching pretty good lately. He's only allowed 11 runs in his last 8 starts. His ERA is down to 3.15 for the year. The combination of Sale and Quintana is looking like a nice left handed pairing. Thank Goodness the White Sox farm system seems pretty dry because it looks like the Sox have a nice starting point with nowhere to go. 3, The Long Ball -- Today the Twins 4 5 6 and 7 hitters are Willingham, Vargas, Colabello and Arcia. That's 4 guys in a row with easy long ball power. In stature... it looks like a formidable group. It just hasn't been that way for our Twins. It was Danny Santana who went deep yesterday. If your baseball team is built with these 4 guys back to back... They gotta hit the ball hard and far sometime. It's what they were built to do. If they don't... It's like using an Elephant to pick up marbles. I'm not an Elephant expert... maybe they do that... I don't know. 4. The Bullpen -- The White Sox have been knocking around our bullpen pretty good. Gardy uses the bullpen every day. The last time a Twin threw a complete game was in 1937. The bullpen needs to sharpen up or the White Sox need to cool down. 5. Medicine -- Been feeling a little better today since the sudden onset of a summer cold on Friday. For a full day... I didn't take anything. I just rode it out. I had heard that laughter is the best medicine. So... I just tried to laugh as much as possible. Saturday I was still feeling run down so I took some medicine and today I'm feeling better. It turns out that laughter is the best medicine besides... you know... actual medicine.
  18. Another one who can fill up an IPOD
  19. Your I-Pod must be bursting at the seems.
  20. Superb list... Sconnie you can road trip with me.
  21. Over the Rainbow... The pacing... The Melody... Hard to top it. La Vie En Rose... I can't understand the singer. It's like a different language. Anything Beatles of course Bach Cello Suite No.1... If someone says the word Cello... I hear that song in my head. Just the opening notes over and over. Wiener Blut -- is that a song or something that happens to you after an event at Nathan's?
