  2. I had time to ponder stuff at the Banquet. They served those little Potatoes. Does a Farmer who grows the little ones have to clarify themselves as a little potato farmer.
  3. I'm back from my Son's Honor Student Banquet A bunch of speakers and a lot of clapping at stuff I wasn't paying attention... I just clapped when others clapped and this gave the impression I was paying attention.
  4. Un-Earned Runs Blechhhhhhhh(throwing up sound)
  5. So... As of 5:18PM Central Teflon's Original Post of the Night has 7 Likes My Post declaring it post of the Night has 6 Likes If I can get more likes... My Post declaring it post of the night will be post of the night.

  7. I wanna see that thing in double digits
  8. Things change fast in this business. A team that started 0-9 can go 3-0 on a dime. A team that was flush with Middle Infielders can all of sudden be down to the bare minimum in the blink of an eye. It's abrupt... and a reason to put on a neck brace and call your personal injury lawyer because of the whiplash. We can sue the Twins... They are clearly at fault. Riverbrian's Lineupology -- I've decided that my Thought #1 is going to be my lineup from now on out. My reasoning for this is simple: first off all... I have no problem being wrong and have been wrong often enough to not think less of myself; and perhaps most importantly, I'm putting my lineup out there just in case Paul Molitor reads it and thinks to himself, "You know... that Riverbrian is a sharp cookie... I'm gonna use his lineup today." DISCLAIMER: BELOW IS NOT THE REAL LINEUP UNLESS IT IS THE LINEUP BY COINCIDENCE. 3B Nunez 1B Mauer RF Sano DH Park 2B Dozier LF Arcia SS Escobar C Suzuki CF Buxton or Kepler 2. The Plouffe Injury -- This is potentially one of the most interesting baseball boo-boo's in quite some time... a perfect confluence of events. Santana is on the DL until next Monday at least. The Twins called up Kepler and not Polanco to replace Santana. And now with Plouffe potentially hurt and for now DTD, only 4 healthy Twins on the 25 Man Roster have actual experience playing 2B,3B and SS and one of those 4 is named Sano. So... if at sometime tonight... either Nunez, Escobar or Dozier comes down with a boo-boo of sorts, Molitor will have no choice but to move Sano over to 3B... something Molitor said during the off season that he would not consider doing in 2016. I kinda hope it happens because I don't like my manager making blanket absolute statements like that. The quicker you force a manager to do something he wasn't planning on doing, the quicker he gets better at his job. 3. 3:00PM Flight Today -- There is American Airline flight from ROC to MSP that will arrive at 6:23PM Today. It has a 55 minute layover at O'Hare which leaves enough time to eat a Chicago Style Dog at one of the terminals. It will cost the Twins $309. Just in case... Polanco is needed. And... and... Kepler can get on a flight to Rochester tomorrow morning at 9:25AM and have a 50 minute layover at O'Hare for $211. ChiTown can stop by and say "Hi" to both of them if they let her through security. 4. The Brewers -- They have a Santana on the roster... they have an Arcia knocking on the 25 man roster door... they have a Berrios on the 60 day DL... they have a couple of starting pitchers in the rotation with Minnesota names like Nelson and Anderson. They have ex-Twins... Garza, Boyer, Zach Jones, Josmil Pinto and Alex Presley in various locations of the organization. Yep... the Brewers are another example of how badly Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin really wants to be Minnesota instead. 5. Wise -- I was told by someone sober over the weekend that I was a "Wise Man." He then said, "Guy... I meant Guy... not Man... Guy." I now have to see a neck specialist because of the whiplash that occurred. -------------------- Actual lineups: BREWERS Santana RF Gennett 2B Braun DH Lucroy C Carter 1B Hill 3B Nieuwenhuis CF Villar SS Flores LF Anderson P TWINS Nunez 3B Dozier 2B Mauer 1B Sano RF Arcia LF Park DH Escobar SS Suzuki C Buxton CF (Brian was close, but no cigar.) Hughes P Game-time forecast: 68 deg F (and dropping), skies are overcast and look menacing, 0% chance of precipitation ... for now (but rising sharply), winds at 14mph from the ENE. Go Twins! 10. It's not that cut and dried and it's why Managers are paid millions of dollars. Right now... some things are obvious. Nunez, Mauer, Plouffe and Arcia are seeing the ball and swinging well and producing. Escobar was hot and now he's cold Rosario is still swinging at a lot of crap and is playing too much in my opinion. Anybody not Nunez, Mauer or Arcia can be moved in and out of the lineup (weighted for defense ability and superstar potential of course along with BVP and other metrics) until they start seeing the ball and swinging well and producing. See... It's not complicated at all
  11. Very true... Anybody can hot Thank God he didn't spend that entire hot streak on the bench. He will cool off... and Molly can bench him then.
  12. Sano has played 10 games in the OF and he has finally become OF Eligible on my fantasy team. The Twins can move him back to 3B now. On my reality baseball team. Nunez better be in the lineup and Arcia better be in as well. It's a 25 man roster... play the hot hitters and rotate the cold until they get hot and rinse and repeat until you win the world series. I watched in horror as Molly kept playing struggling hitters during the 9 game losing streak. Surprise Surprise... it kept not working. The Twins finally have the depth to do this. The Twins finally have the depth that all on the roster can play the game and help the team win. The Twins finally have the depth to absorb injuries to Plouffe or Mauer or even Sano. Including MLB replacement depth on the farm. Play the hitters who are hitting. You only screw it up by pretending you have an everyday starting 9. BTW... If Plouffe is out for awhile. You may need to move Nunez to 2B or SS for a game because Escobar could cool off or Dozier may not heat up. Or maybe... Nunez cools off. In any of those scenerios... I'd hope Molly would play Sano at 3B for a game or two. Refusing to do that would be more stubbornness than I'd like to see in the leadership of my team.
  13. Dear Paul Molitor... I don't have your cell number so hopefully you read this Here's the lineup for tomorrow DH Nunez 1B Mauer RF Sano 3B Plouffe 2B Dozier LF Arcia SS Escobar C Suzuki (15/52 against Weaver) CF Buxton if Healthy... otherwise Kepler
  14. You are only interested in her because she walked under a freshly painted white bench. http://images5.fanpop.com/image/photos/27900000/From-Scent-of-the-Matterhorn-pepe-le-pew-27928994-470-337.jpg
