  1. Did Jeffers really get thrown out at third by the left fielder? Was it bad base running, or just a tough situation where he was damned if he did and damned if he didn't go? Did Tommy help him from the third base coaching box? I hate not being able to watch!
  2. The Twins could try to hit and run every once in a while. As a team, 4 GIDPs leaves a little to be desired.
  3. You can do it, Louie! Get us through this inning and we'll turn it over to the bully.
  4. What's the MLB team record for GIDP in a single 9-inning game? We've got 3 in 4 innings!
  5. Wallner came up 3 feet short at 406. (I remembered wrong; that must have been the Metrodome that was 408. Target Field dimensions are below:)
  6. Louie is through 3 and halfway home! Bullpen needs to get ready. I'm looking at you, Randy Dobnak.
  7. Louie is through 2 innings. I'm looking for 6 innings of shutout ball, just like last Saturday night in Des Moines!
  8. Is it just me, or is Boston becoming a problem in the WC race? Oh by the way, they're up 2-1 at home against Houston at the end of three innings. Lots of home games left!
  9. As long as we don't play Royce Lewis in CF again, I'm okay with being cautious. Bad things tend to come in threes (Joe Ryan, Brock Stewart, and ?). Win Twins!
  10. My guess is that Buxton hurt himself more than we know running into the wall against the White Sox. The impact was pretty significant, and he stayed down on the ground awhile. See it here:
  11. I saw Louie Varland pitch against the Triple-A Iowa Cubs last weekend. He took care of business last Saturday night, but the last place I-Cubs didn't put up too much of a fight. I hope he can navigate Cleveland's best hitters (Jose Ramirez, Steven Kwan, and Josh Naylor) and avoid the long ball. Tonight promises to be entertaining. At 0-4 in the majors, Varland is due for a better game.
