    I was at that clinching game! We needed both the White Sox and Royals to lose that same night. Once we won, they showed both games on the screens at the dome. Probably about 10,000 fans stuck around to watch for about an hour until both lost. The magic number guy was a big celebrity that night, and the team came back on the field to celebrate with the fans. One of my best Twins experiences, especially with T-Hunt running the perimeter of the field to high five everyone.

    As far as the Yankees go, wasn't Posada a part time player until 2000 when Girardi retired and then he hit his stride? I think Pettite was more so that core four piece since he debuted in 1995 and led the league in wins in 1996 on that historic team.
