    Not using Buxton more reminds me of a Jim bouton story from his book, Ball Four. Yankees had an orange juice dispensing machine in the clubhouse. The players liked it and it always was empty. when Bouton asked the clubhouse guy why he didn't order more, he was told " If I order more orange juice, all you guys do is just drink it",

    Strikeouts, strikeouts and more strikeouts. Gotta reduce them. Will never overcome offense woes without cutting down on strikeouts. big boys strike out enough, but too many of our non-power guys, just flail away.

    I've never seen so many off target throws to the bases and/or cut off men this year. These guys just fling it towards...................I don't know.

    I see them refilling the gatorade cooler now, in the bullpen.

    Joe's jersey looks a little moist. That'll contribute to his possible loss of stamina, with a good amount of pitches out of the strike zone.

    You can't chip away with hr derby swings all the time. Got to be a little more patient, go with the pitch and not dig the hole deeper with mental mistakes.

    I was being sarcastic. I don't like all these overtime exceptions.

    Baseball has its 2nd base extra inning rule. Football has its non-sudden death overtime rule (1st possession) and hockey has its shoot out overtime rule. What's basketball's problem? Maybe pick 1 guy from each team to shoot free throws, until one outshoots the other.

    Off hand, I can't think of a current manager who looks at quality over quantity when it comes to make a decision concerning his starting pitchers. I'm sure there is, somewhere.
