Twins Video
The news came from Twins PR Director Dustin Morse following Sunday's win in Cleveland. Kyle Gibson will be promoted to the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday and will make his major league debut on Saturday at Target Field. Sunday's winning pitcher, Pedro Hernandez, was sent back to Triple-A.
Gibson has been a big conversation piece for Twins fans throughout the season. There has been his recovery from Tommy John surgery. There is talk of an innings limit. There has been talk of Consistency. All the rumor and speculation can end now with Gibson getting the call. [PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
In Rochester, he has made 15 starts. He is 7-5 with a 3.01 ERA. In 92.2 innings, he has given up 78 hits, walked 29 and struck out 79. He was very inconsistent through the season's first ten starts, alternating good and bad starts. Since then, aside from one clunker, he has been terrific.
The Kyle Gibson Era is about to start, and Twins fans should be excited.
