As far as the players who made a MLB impact with the Twins: Eric Milton turned into Carlos Silva, Nick Punto and Bobby Korecky. Brian Buchanan becaume Jason Bartlet who helped to become Delmon Young, Brendon Harris and Jason Pridie. Harris was part of the Jim Hoey deal and Young became Lester Oliveros. Christian Guzman's comp pick turned into Brian Duensing.

 

15 years later the Twins still have Duensing on the team and Oliveros will hopefully recover and become another nice back of the bullpen option.

Was at that game, and it seemed as if about a quarter of the Dollar Dogs sold that night ended up in a big circle around Knoblauch. Yankee talking head at Four Letter Network went on and on about it, and I wrote an email basically saying 'Dude, your team's stadium is still the only one in all of MLB, or pro sports for that matter, where a player has been struck by a knife during a game'.

Bob Casey was the one who was laying it on the mic that night. I do not recall a single battery involved. It was a giveaway baseball night, and multiple baseballs made it onto the field along with the dollar dogs that were offered that night. Bad combo to have college IDs reduce Left Field bleacher tickets to $3 and have a $1 hot dog evening all when one of the team's most recent shipments to the Yankees returned. I was sitting about 5 rows back from the left field wall. A woman ahead of us was struck by a baseball, which is when the police came down to the bleacher section and began hauling away fans who threw anything at all.

And, Brian Buchanan married John Havlicek's daughter. I know, weird. How do you measure the WAR (weddings above replacement) for that?
