Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Pablo López elevated himself during the postseason, but he wasn't the only one. Here's some discussion on López, Chris Paddack and Jhoan Duran's playoff performances.

Foundation is rock solid?  Pablo Lopez does seem to have set himself apart.  He has potential to have a low 3's ERA next year.  A solid #2 on a championship team....but not an ace.  The next (and only starter) even mentioned is Chris Paddock, who has not had a low ERA in 3-4 years and now is coming off another surgery.  He looked solid in the playoffs, but to bank on him as your #2 is down right scary (and the opposite of "rock solid." )  The next two best pitchers on the Twins in 2023 were Sonny Gray and Kenta Maeda.......who "probably" will not be on the Twins next year.  Your next best starting pitcher was Joe Ryan.  MLB hitters seem to be figuring out his 91 mph fastball.  He would be a solid #5 starter on a good team.....but not a #3 on a contender.

I think the Twins need to sign a #1 pitcher yet....to have a shot at winning the division again next year.  Sonny Gray might be that answer........but also turning 34.....and will most likely get a better offer elsewhere......
