  1. I'm a STH and get to about 20 games a year in person. When I switched from DirecTV to YouTubeTV, the Twins were carried. Since 2021, I rely on MLB.TV and occasionally watch a full game (after the blackout) but usually watch the condensed games. I used to love to listen to Cory on the radio. Can't stand listening to Kris Atteberry, though. He talks non-stop, misses things going on in the game, and is not good about giving score updates for people tuning in mid-game. The Twins have completely lost my 91 yo mom as a Twins fan - since she doesn't want to get the expensive package on Comcast and will no longer listen to the radio because she can't stand Atteberry. Very frustrated about the whole situation. And that the TV situation caused ownership not to invest in the team in the offseason or at the trade deadline. We are seeing the results now... Thanks for letting me vent!
  2. I am so disappointed in this TV situation. I dropped DirecTV in 2019 for YouTube TV, as they were carrying Fox Sports regional networks. Then Diamond and YTTV couldn't come to an agreement after 2020, and my TV access was gone. As a partial season ticket holder, I get MLB.TV for free, but I can only watch the Twins game after the 90 minute blackout. I was somewhat encouraged this off-season when DSP sounded like the Twins were looking for a TV deal that would also include streamers, then was disappointed once again when they signed again with Bally. I can't believe they were unaware that the Bally/Comcast contract was up on 5/1 when they signed, which is unforgivable. My 90 year old mom (and lifelong Twins fan) has Comcast and is unhappy that she can no longer watch the Twins. At this point, I listen on the radio or I just watch the MiLB games on MLB.TV. The Twins just do not seem to care about their fans anymore.
  3. I was actually at the last *two* Twins playoff wins. I was living in NYC 2003-2006, and went to game 1 of both of the 2003 and 2004 series.
  4. I switched to YouTube TV when it did carry the RSNs. After 2020, I watch wherever I could find the game (Fox, FS1, ESPN, Apple+, YouTube), and I have MLB.tv (as a STH and t-mobile customer). As a partial plan STH, I get to maybe 30-35 games/season in person. For all the rest, if I really want to see a game I'll go to a bar, or try to do a self imposed media blackout until I can watch on MLB.tv (annoying and inconvenient). I listen to the radio broadcast most of the time, though. MLB is losing fans and viewers and def not attracting new ones with this nonsense. They can't afford to do that for the long term health of the game.
  5. Thanks for doing this! I look forward to the virtual playoffs!
  6. Max Kepler vs Trevor Bauer again! Hopefully Bauer will pitch one of the Reds games.
  7. Thanks for doing this! It is a fun diversion along with the classic games airing on FSN. I opt for upgrading starting pitching, although if a good deal comes around to strengthen the bullpen, I'm all for it.
  8. I'm not a fan of AJ, mainly because I remember him trying to spike Justin Morneau on a play at first. Plus, he always hit well against us after he was traded. Best thing about AJ was the trade and all we got in return! I HATE the Yankees - pretty much all of them just because they are the Yankees. A-Rod was higher on my list than Jeter, although I agree Jeter was way overrated on defense. A-Rod always came off as such a jerk, and he has done nothing to change my mind since, despite his competence as an analyst. Check out a documentary I saw last fall on the whole steroid scandal (with A-Rod prominently featured) called Screwball. Highly entertaining!
  9. I vote for bringing up Rich Hill or Michael Pineda. I'd also like to send down Brett Rooker and bring back Jake Cave - if we can do both. Pitching is the top priority, though. I really miss baseball, so thanks for doing this sim!!
  10. My favorite memory was the ironing the shirt while wearing it incident. LEWWWWW!
