  1. How long do the Astro's (and every other team) have to make a claim? When are we "on the clock" if at all? I thought a player is on waivers for two days to be claimed, but have no idea how it works, besides order, during those two days. Anyone?
  2. I'm beginning to join the unpopular position of letting technology call the strikes, not a human. It's real time, no delay, no bias, complete viewing coverage of the plate. Umpiring is becoming a "make-work" program. I don't hold this view in any strong way, but would love to hear the arguments on both sides. I guess one obstacle would be letting the catcher know in real time whether the pitch were a strike or not when runners are moving and on dropped third strikes. Would there be and immediate flash of light or sound indicating a strike -- like they have in tennis on serves to call it out? I dunno, but I think this eventually will happen.
  3. True, but I don't think they'd have a much better record last year, if they were in the AL then.
  4. Well, a sweep of then Angels would make up for the Royals sweep, I guess.
  5. Can we not... seriously.
  6. Cuddy would have had that.
  7. Last back-to-back 4 hit game came form D. Valencia in July of 2010 -- according to Halos' broadcasters. Good job baby J.
  8. Would still rather Escobear be out there than Doumit or Delmon, and probably no worse than Willingham.
  9. Swarzak is a golden god
  10. What's wrong with Willingham?
  11. Didn't start watching unit the second and only getting the angles broadcast... I didn't know.
  12. Wilky was playing LF, so instead of PR with Mastro you PR with Escobear. Obviously.
  13. Five bench guys only makes sense, to me, in the Nat'l league, or with proven pitches that rarely go less than 6 innings, or because you have one bench spot strictly for a PH/DH, like Thome. And none applies in this case. We will need 12 pitchers, it's just a blessing and the schedule that we don't need 12 today.
  14. And giving Hicks a very low pressure AB. Hope to see many more low pressure ABs in the 9 hole for Hicks.
  15. Was Dozier running on that pitch? How does he make it from first to score on that a stretched double?
  16. Let's see a suicide squeeze here, just for fun.
  17. Change for the better - progress - identifying breaking pitches in the dirt and laying off
  18. Another great outing for KC, keep it up fella.
  19. Yes, but I have a LH and RHP ready during the inning, and let him go no more than one baserunner, then pull him.
  20. Sad to see Blanton gohttp://deephousepage.com/smilies/cry.gif
  21. KC, making a great 1-2 pitch -- right down the middle. #pitchtocontact
  22. Doumit is having way too many Hicksish type of ABs this year. That was... bad.
