    Starting catch was a problem in 2014 at the same time they signed Suzuki to a long term deal.

    Injuries always happen to starting pitchers. It's not like our starting 5 will go all year without needing to call someone up or move some from the bullpen.

    Wait wait wait....why should Doctors be considered role models/heroes? Aren't many of them profiteers who benefit from other's maladies? Why can't we just say that anyone has it in them to be a hero/role model and all should be judged by the good works they do, not on the vocation they chose.

    Should I go to a Yankees game I will be more than happy to boo Jeter. Put him on the Royals and he is not MLB immortality. He is largely a product of the team he broke through with. For him to break past that stigma, he needed to do so much more than he did with his career. All players are judged through the same lens. That will hurt him.

    Wait, so the silver lining is that we DON'T expect Capps to be able to succeed long enough in the closer role that we will instead turn to a different pitcher to close who has got to be better? That's reminds me of an old "Beavis and Butthead" episode where Butthead kept on smacking Beavis in the face because after the sting wore off, Beavis appreciated how much better he felt when compared to when he was being smacking in the face. I appreciate the attempt to stay positive about the Capps deal however.

    I hate to say it, I think Mourneau's career as someone who can carry a lineup is probably over. Zumaya probably won't give you much for any length of time. The starters should all do better, but they all have a track record (beyond last year) of being very inconsistent. Valencia MIGHT rebound from his sophomore slump, but his rookie season was the odd year on his resume. Capps should be better. Perkins I think has turned a corner. I have high hopes for Span, but he kind of falls into the same boat as Valencia: his minor league track record doesn't lend itself to predicting the success he has had in the majors. Ryan won't make a major move at the deadline, that's just not his MO. Go Twins!
