Another shining example of playing someone that shouldn't because they're so scared of letting the young lefty batters face lefty pitchers. Take the damn training wheels off and let either Wallner or Larnach play and staple Margot to the bench.
I agree with ya. AFraud getting the MVP for a last-place Rangers team was a total joke. This is different with it being ROY so one can win that while being on a last-place team.
If Skenes wins the ROY over Merrill, it'll prove that the voters don't care about the West Coast. Of course, if the Pirates shut down Skenes, that'll make the voting a lot easier.
This is where Margot being used in a terrible spot (see also: we're scared to let our young lefties face a lefty pitcher) kills us a bit because you'd have Margot run for Vazy right now.
There was a few minutes delay while they retrieved Wallner's glove after the tying HR. At that point, they probably had enough time for Jax to be warm.
First, get to the playoffs. Secondly, they absolutely can compete. DBacks weren't all that talented in their rotation last season and look where it got them. Of course, if the opponent is the Yankees, we know what will happen.
Zebby never walks anyone but when he does, it becomes a disaster. I think it's easier as a hitter when you know a guy never walks anyone because you know he's going to be around the zone, even when it's an 0-2 pitch.
Watching this King dude pitch reminds me of a cross between the gyrations of Clevenger with the salad shooting (at a slightly higher velocity) of Jamie Moyer.
