    I'm going to boldly predict that we advance a runner to 3rd base today.

    I'm probably in a small minority, but I didn't think it was that bad of a call by West. Looking at the slowed down version of the check swing it's still very hard to tell whether Hunter "struck at" the pitch or not. In real time, it's easy to see how West could have called it plus West likely had the best view in the house. This all notwithstanding the fact that the Twins flailed away for almost 9 whole innings and put no runs on the board. It's hard to get too indignant about a single marginal call down 4-0 in the 9th when the team as a whole was roundly outplayed.

    Why not wait a year and see if Dozier can duplicate his production? They could have just as easily made a similar deal next year at this time with a whole lot more information and with little downside. It just seems to continue the trend of the organization buying high on players after their career years. Granted, this is not a huge mistake as the money is not unreasonable. It just seems to be another in a long line of missteps by the Front Office.

    I expect Milone will get the 5th starter job. The fact he's a lefty was always going to tilt things in his favor as long as he didn't implode this spring which he clearly hasn't. Though they may not admit it, they surely want a lefty presence in their starting rotation even if Milone gets slightly outperformed by one of the other contenders. Of course I could be very wrong, but that's what I'd put money on if I had to.

    I have a perfect Twins Way solution...bring back Pelfrey so Nolasco doesn't seem so bad by comparison.
