    Kiley McDaniel @kileymcd The Carlos Rodon bonus demand hammer has dropped. I'm told its $6 million plus. Aiken heavy favorite to go 1-1 now.

    I do like that Law has heard the Twins COULD take Kolek over Gordon potentially, not because I want that to happen, but because if the Cubs surprisingly take Gordon at 4, then at least it seems the Twins would take Kolek. For me, those are the two guys I want the most from the "realistic" group of players, so either way .

First question Twins related, which he sort of dodges, but emphasizes Twins/Gordon pick: Kirk (The TC) Extreme "What if" question - Twins have been very high on Nola and especially Gordon. You have Nola going #3 and others mention the Cubs at #4 possibly going after Gordon. In that scenario, who do you see the Twins going for? Kolek? Klaw (1:06 PM) I don't think the Cubs take Gordon. He's not going before 5, and the Twins will take him there.

    I'm a Gordon over Jackson guy, but if Gordon is gone I prefer Jackson to Nola. If they do go Nola though, I get it. He seems to be a potential fast-riser, so a near future rotation with Meyer, Hughes, Nolasco, Gibson, May roto with Stewart, Berrios, Nola, Gonsalves, Thorpe waiting in the wings does sound solid. When the heck did we get some starting pitching depth???

    With all I've said about Gordon, I don't think that I'd take him over Kolek if he falls to 5.

    While many on here want Jackson more than Gordon, both Law and Crawford have Gordon higher. Also interesting. I don't claim to be in on things until maybe a month before the draft, but I've preferred Gordon for awhile. Just a feeling.

    I can't say I'd be disappointed in Gordon over Jackson, but I get it, for those of you who would be. That said, I also would be just fine with Jackson over Gordon. Different types of players, but both with very different, yet high ceilings. I don't know why, I just lean more towards Gordon. Could be that an "all-star" type SS seems harder to come by than a C who could become an OF.

    Chris Crawford's newest draft blog for ESPN Insider has an excerpt about Jacob Gatewood potentially falling out of the first. I haven't been majorly plugged in on him, but regardless of what we do at #5, wouldn't it be wise to grab him in the 2nd if he's there? Stock down: Jacob Gatewood, SS, Clovis (Calif.) HS Gatewood's stock has seemingly been dropping since the "draft season" started, and a player considered a potential top-five pick now likely doesn't go in the first round. The power is legit, but that power means nothing if Gatewood can't hit, and fewer and fewer teams believe he's going to be able to at the professional levels. Possible fits: Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds
